WILL YOU FAIL A DRUG TEST FOR OPIATES WHILE YOU ARE USING SUBOXINE?
If you take a drug test while you are on Suboxone it will come up with opiates in your system from the suboxone. I am ob sub and I have to do a pee test whenever my sub doctor wants and that is how she tests me to make sure I am taking it.
Unless they are testing SPECIFICALLY for sub, like a sub doctor. It shouldn't show up if it's a drug test for work or something like that...
oh well when I did my first pee test I watched her do it and the opiate section had lines in it and none of the other ones did. I thought that because sub is an opiod it comes up positive for opiates on a test. HMM, of course I don't know that much about drug tests so maybe I looked at it wrong.
I was told that sub would only show up in a drug test if they are actually searching for. The sub tests are VERY expensive so most people don't search for it.
What I read, and who knows, but it said that Sub has to be specified otherwise it doesn't show up. I think if you are taking other opiates though, it will. That could be why your dr has you do it Steph, to make sure you are taking sub and not something else? Does any of that make sense?

I know,first hand,unless specifically looking for sub,it does not show up on a drug test,and most drug tests dont test for sub.I outright asked both my dr and counselor if it would show up on a regular test,they both said no.And afterwards,i was drug tested(while taking the sub)and it came back negative for opiates~KIM

They do test me to make sure I don't take any other drugs because if I did I wouldn't get my sub anymore.

My sub doc told me to make sure I take my sub because when they test me they make sure I do so that made me think that
