hey everyone there is someone who really needs some good advice on the family board...poster oday28, I suggested they come over here, if anyone has time please check it out.
Happy New Year to all
omg!! beware is right!! i am jewlsander (julie) from the pain pill board and it has been brought to our attention to come to the family categorie to offer you some help.
oxycontin is MUCh stonger and More addictive... i have seen two people in my life struggle with this drug.
first person is my mother a vicodin addict like me, i guess you could say for some people they can psychologically make pain happen when they are in need of their drug of choice when it is not available to them. (e.g. my mom)
that being the case with my mom, she reports to her doctor she is still in pain, so the doctor says ok, lets try oxy's.
i watched her change from a person addicted to vicodin, to a stumbling, almost falling over wreck! it was like she was so drunk, she got pulled over from the police for swerving, she was having a garage sale cuz my parents were divorcing, as she is trying to sell her things to the customers, she could barely talk, slurred her words, stumbled like she was drunk, barely could count the money back to the customers and my sister and i were like, what is wrong with her?
we found out it was the oxy's, i warned her about the potential danger of this drug as i had received a mailing in the mail about people suing their doctors for getting them addicted to this most difficult and addictive drug to get off of.
she wouldnt listen and probably was taking more than she should.
when i was in rehab a young man was admitted for oxy withdrawal, this poor guy suffered so much, he was miserable for the first few days, he sweated profusely, his eyes looked like alice coopers and all he could do was cry out in agony and take hot baths for relief.
get a new doctor because you are being mis -informed. keep us posted on thepain pill board julie
