yesterday my husband was put in jail for childsupport, that through my world upside down. He has been my anchor, my friend well everything, he has givin me so much hope and now I find myself fighting this battle alone and i'm really scared. I'm working on 7months sober and lastnight I found myself wanting to drown my fears away but I knew in my heart that wasn't what I wanted but it seemed like the easy thing to do, instead I drove myself to a meeting and that was the best thing I could of ever did, it was like a weight was lifted from my shoulders and I prayed to God to give me strengh to get through this. I always had someone by myside and now I have to do this alone for awhile, well I have meetings and God and I just hope I can get through this ordeal , please say a few kind words to the big man to give me strengh and guidence. Thank you

Its alright to want or feel like a drink but you dont need one .I know and I guess you know that if you start drinking with one problem a lot of the time you wake up with a few more.
And you did the right thing by getting to a meeting because youre among people who understand what youre going through and will listen. You can get through this time .It will pass.
Next time you feel like picking up a drink pick up the phone instead and talk to someone in the fellowship a sponsor or friend a problem shared is a ?.
