Good evening to all,
well 9 days clean and I can already tell a difference in the way I feel. I know I'm not totally through it yet, because i still crave at least a time or two a day(depending on how busy i am, days off are the hardest). But all in all, I feel pretty good. My head is so much clearer, I can think a little faster, words come to me so much easier and my eyes are so much brighter. Which really is handy considering my job is dealing with the public everyday. Speaking of eyes so much brighter, did any of you notice how much more the sun hurts your eyes when your not stoned all the time? I guess I never payed attention before because my eyelids were so droopy.lol
I hope all of you really had a good day, been praying for you and your familys.
Just got done watching the movie "The Man" with Samuel Jackson in it, ....hey if you need a good laugh, check it out. I laughed my a** off, but of course ole Samuel is one of my favorites.
My Daughter brought home the movie "A Walk To Remember" last night. you got to see it if you haven't already..a very beautiful movie. Made me want to cry.
well enough of the movie reviews.

hey Bubba, good job on day 9 ! Way to go on leading that family ! Isn't it cool to discover the cravings won't kill you and they do pass. I promise the cravings will decrease.
My daughter just handed me a hand-made "cheesy" card she called it. It's to congratulate me on my recent release from the mental ward LOL. (those are my words, not hers) It's got a dolphin, waves and sun.
I have discovered that one must keep their sense of humour through these trying times. I would recommend allowing yourself to have SEVERAL good laughs a day, ok. Sounds like you figured that out. LOL
I also saw The Man. Eugene Levys' facial expressions are hilarious. Those eyebrows ! He used to be on a little known Canadian TV show, called SCTV. If you ever find it on video, take a peek at it. Good Stuff.
Cast members were John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, Dave Thomas. You may or may not recognize some of those names.

I can't remember wether I posted this or not (if so I don't mind repeating it), but when I think I have been posting on this board less than six months and compare that to your incredible personal growth over that period....well let's just say if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it!

JoJo sent me a poem once, it had the lines "Time Passes, Life Happens." It is on the white board in my kitchen. it reminds me to stay in the present and appreciate what I've got right NOW. No matter what I do or don't do, time WILL still pass and life WILL still happen, so don't f*** around. LOL
