Food Intolerance Rant

I am going to moan this morning. I am fed up of food!
A few months after stopping drinking all these annoying food intolerances started and it is driving me mad.
Yesterday my sister got her PhD so I went for a meal with her and her husband and our mom and dad. Great, but this morning I have a sore throat, blocked nose, blocked ear and tinnitus and feel awful. It is ridiculous. I used to hammer the booze and deal with it, but now I go out eat a bit of cous cous and I feel dreadful. Pathetic. I have permenant tinnitus after eating oats a couple of weeks ago. They made me feel like hell.

I thought I had cracked it when I realised wheat was causing me problems, so I stopped eating it. I ate rye bread instead, but then I got badly constipated, so I stopped eating that. I tried oat cakes but oats make me feel awful. Chocolate - that makes me blocked up. And so it goes on and on. I can't stop eating everything!! I also have had an eating disorder which was really bad years ago and all this cutting out stuff is just churning up all the old thoughts of food, can and can't and it is just so frustrating.

Giving up alcohol and drugs is one thing but then having all this hassle around food - I just don't need it. It is ridiculous. It is really bugging me today because I had resisted and resisted certain food, but then rebelled this week, and ate bread and loads of chocolate and started feeling run down. The cous cous last night was the icing on the cake.

I hate it today. I don't know what is causing this tinnitus. I could have a food intolerance test, they are expensive though. And what if it tells me I am intolerant to soya milk. I dread that. Tea is my only vice that I cannot do without, if it is the milk then I would have to stop that aswell as; alcohol, drugs, tobacco, coffee, bread, chocolate.
Nooooooooooooooooooo
Aaaaaaaarrrrrghhhhhhhhhhh
Toooooooooooo mmmmuuuuuuccccccchhhhhhhh
Well, there you go! I have just been looking at a food intolerance website and it states that food intolerance is an immune response which can be related amongst other things to ....alcohol consumption.
Whoopee do.
So I guess, once my body chemistry changed from being a marijuana soaked brewery, it reacted to the onslaught.
And I thought I was so clever by managing by the skin of my teeth to just about pull through on the physical front with no consequences.
Ha.
Pride comes before a fall.
Damned.
Hey Lacey, it hardly seems fair does it? Being good makes you feel bad?
It must be a bit discouraging.... Hang in there.... By the way I enjoy reading your post "Cunning Addiction" I can really can really relate to it,

Bye for now, Cookster.
Yeah, it can be a bit discouraging sometimes when it really does my head in - like yesterday. However I can sort it out. I will just have to do a food intolerance test and add a few more things to the list of stuff I have given up!

At least I am not drunk!!
If you have a gluten intolerance it would include wheat, oats rye, and barley. Could that be what you have?
Yes, it seems that way. Although I get a blocked up nose when I eat chocolate, and that is plain chocolate even. Being vegan I don't eat dairy products so it isn't lactose intolerance, it seems to be the actual cocoa which is weird. Still trying to understand it really.
