Paula, had 12 today, going to 10 tomorrow.
Betsy I totally agree with you. I don't think I could handle trying to quit right now.. Carol I got you test e-mail
Hey Tom & JD, while you're here, what is "paws" that you were talking about?
Betsy that is great are you feeling ok? I know you can do this you have a good attitude about this.. I was wondering the same thing what is PAWS?
I'm feeling fine, 20 was way too much and I felt either sick or fell asleep with that many.
So, do you and Frank have a supply of pills in the house?

Betsy, PAWS is post acute withdrawals syndrome. After prolonged opiate abuse you may experience withdrawl symptoms up to a year after you quit. You may feel fine for a few weeks then out of the blue you seem to get withdrawals symptoms, like depression, fatigue. It seems to happen on 30 day intervals.

Boy, I can't wait for THAT!
Actually, that's good info to know - maybe by knowing it will happen on those intervals, it will make us ready and equipped to handle it better.
I didn't mean to be a smart alec!

Betsy......LMAO....just one more lovely aspect of w/d! Don't worry, not all people have it. As soon as I started feeling really depressed around 30 days I started an AD and it took care of it for me. It didn't give me any motivation or stop the cravings, though.
So is the venture history for sure?

Betsy I am not sure about Frank, but I get mine from my husband, he has alot of medical problem and pretty much has them all the time, as a matter of fact, he is fixing to have more surgery in about a week.. He keeps them hidden and I have to ask him for them that is a good thing because if I had easy access to them I would be popping pills right and left .. This time I was only taking about 1 a day. If I ask him too much he will not give them to me. I wish he did not have them because he is my only way of getting them.
Paula, that has to be tough, knowing they are available. Good job so far, you've come a long way already.
Carol, the business is toast. Tim said it would be my baby, and there's no way I could do it without being on pain meds all the time.

I'm going to throw in the last load of wash for the weekend, then relax and read literature on addiction.
Have a lovely evening, everyone, talk to you tomorrow.

Betsy thanks but I don't feel like it I just cannot understand why I feel like I need to take these things. I mean it really makes me feel so weak, I just want to feel normal and have the strength to not even take one a day or one or two a week, I cannot comprehend why? I know that probably does not make sense. My husband is a recovering alcoholic but he seems to have no problem taking pain pills, he takes them like they are suppose to be taken, only when his pain gets real bad does he take them
I am so sorry to see you lose out on that opportunity. However, it would be a drag on your recovery, to say the least. It would be a major undertaking for a non-addict.
Have a nice night. Wish my laundry was done. : )
