HI,
How are you? I am feeling so much better. 100% better mentally. My energy still comes and goes. Sometimes I feel like I am 80 years old. Is that still happening to you? Just wondering. I am hoping you will say it is getting better every day, Last time you posted you sounded wonderful and said you were able to exercise like 50 minutes. I just wondered if you feel peppier all day long now or still up and down . Sometimes I will be walking and it's like my legs just wont go any more. I have to sit down wherever I am and then I have to laugh at myself. L
Hey L,
Thanks for checking on me. You sound so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am 100% better than I was. Feel like I can enjoy life and wake up feeling like life is worth living. What a miracle of sobriety! I went online to read about addiction and the series on HBO on the NIDA website. Good stuff. Explains what happens to our brains in active addiction. If you get a chance it is good reading
NIDA website
The fatigue comes and goes. At times and it seems more apparent especially after exercising.

YOu sound good to! Did you have any headaches with your withdrawl? I have been having headaches for the last week and I have noticed that I wake up sweaty in the night. For some reason I didn't notice that before. I still feel much better and have just been taking tylenol and advil for the headaches. I just wondered if you noticed this. I think that oxy is harder on your body then vicodan or tylenol 3's so it probably isn't unusual that I would be a little slower at recovering. I am so much more optimistic now that my body will completely heal. I can tell that I am getting back to normal. L
Hi L,
Yes, I had headaches which lasted for days at a time. I do not have them much now.
But also check your blood pressure to make sure it is within nomal limits.
Have a good night.

Thanks GP....I am glad to hear that you had headaches also. No wait....I didn't mean that the way it sounded, ha! I just mean I am glad to know it is probably part of the recovery and will get better. I hope you had a great day. Let me know how tomorrow is. Good night L
L,
How are you doing today? Getting some sleep?
I am okay. I can sleep at night! It is so nice to have some predictability and clarity in my life these days. Emotions still take me for a loop sometimes but more bearable. I find that instead of looking at them in the negative, I have begun to look at them as an "awakening" and a postive part of recovery.

gentlepeace....It was good to hear from you. I was glad to log on and see a post from you. I am feeling a lot calmer the last few days. I wish I had more energy ...I go along pretty well and then all the sudden just hit the wall. It gets a little better each day, which I am thankful for. I am sleeping about 5 hours a night now and sometimes I can fall back to sleep for a little bit which is wonderful. I have been regularly taking vitamins and I am hoping that might start to help with energy. This is day 56 for me, yay! L
