Get Ready For This....not Good!

http://opiatedetoxrecovery.com/topi...p?TOPIC_ID=7538
This is the scariest thing I have EVER read. I will be tapering off starting tomorrow after only using Sub for 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am curious as to what scares you

Most who go on this know thisBrooke has talked about a lot of this, that wd will be there, that it will be longer but not as intenseAnd even at the top of the post it says to help people make an informed decision.

Some of wd depends on how psychologically ready a person is, some depends on what they jumped off at, length of addiction and habit before can playalso what they did on sub can play.

That 21 day period is important because it is being on enough time to not go back into wd from your drug of choice, but then it is the window in which they say you now will become dependent on sub.
If one has wd on a fast taper schedule it could be asked if it was the sub or just original wd

And to take it one step further something missed
Drug of choice, while an opiate is an opiatethere are many stories that I have read and think omg you just upped the ante.

This drug was designed for hard core users, long term users, who chronically relapsed for years and years and years
On that same board is the history of sub. You might find it interesting as well.

You can search out at the bottom of the page stories like Marina ( pill board ), Diff ( heroin and sub boards)
Marina was on around 6 months, no wd, I repeat no wd, none not one drop, nothing and she wrote it all out, and I mean 2 days no sub, 3 days no sub, 5 days no sub. I think it got to the point that JohnD told her to stop driving herself crazy waiting for it.cause it wasnt coming.
Oh and John D ( pill board ) did a fast taper, really fast less then a week he talked of some of what he felt and yes he had wd as he should ofit makes total sense that he did.
Diff was on for much longer, her experience in on here as wellshe tells a great story of hope and her posts I would suggest all around
Even Redd ( pill board ) followed it all the way through, and came off with not much of anything to report

This a good place to read as well if you haven't been there.

Good informative reading B.......im on M.M.T 80MLS. daily for the last 8yrs. i hold down a decent skilled job, have custody of my 9yr.old daughter and am basically making it.......long term treatment and all it entails has worked for me.....i understand yer fear of coming off or getting onto sumthin worse in the long run as yer DOC......but each of us must make this informed choice before we begin treatment. If you have only been on sub a short time and you are freaked out somewhat by long term dependence...you should begin a taper and chat to yer doctor. All im saying is theres two sides to the coin of taking methadone or sub....long term it works for me and has given me back my life coz i was completly immersed in my past heroin run one.So take it handy and have a pause for thought, coz it was a good upfront article, thanks. All the best............Davey
i did a sub detox in 8 doses, that suited me though may not suit some.also when some go for alternative medicine,s they still look for the high...ECK

I guess the same can be said for methadone- - even though that wasnt the original intention
Wow! I think I'll stick with my methadone! Doesn't sound like there's much difference.
