Gidday Stacey
Just want to say light and love to you and your Dad.
If you have to go on the road trip have you got company and if not grab some recovery tapes/cds to pass the hours and if you have got your cruizing music on watch your speed ( i tend to get carried away when the music is playing).
With every typed letter i send energy to you and your Dad, and whatever is wrong with him i hope all goes well, and for you this is where the stored gratitude you have can be such a comfort.
I have seen the passing of Mum and Dad in recovery and also a very good mate who was only 38 and each time addiction said hell Zac good chance to get drunk and people will understand, yeah right after the first night they would be running.
Being in recovery has really helped me because of the spiritual closeness i have with myself and my higher power and they can go hand in hand with acceptance of any of lifes twists or turns.
My Mum was crook for years and i was there sober, something she had prayed for my whole drinking life, there are many reasons why we have survived and gotten sober, some we will recognise and some we will never know.
Hey Stacey thankyou for your experience, strength and hope cause it really does help this alky.
Light and love Zac
Gidday Zac...
Thank you for this post...It just warmed my heart up so much and it's nice to feel the love (and I can) and know that I'm not alone...
My dad had a heart attack on Friday night, and was revived by the paddles while he was in the emergency room...they did an angioplasy (?) yesterday and put a stent in his one artery that had blockage of 90% and everything went beautifully, the absolute best case senerio and it came true....the best part, I just kept praying and praying and left the results up to God and today is so much better...as long as he keeps doing as well as he is, they will release him tomorrow and he'll have to go back in a few weeks to have another artery done but they want the heart to rest and heal for now....I now have some time to plan the trip across country to see him and will be able to visit at his home instead of the hospital....God is good to me and I am so grateful that I had people to talk to through this and help me realize that God had it under control and show me what my part was....My dad has around 20years sober and I saw him working his program throughout all this and he taught me without ever saying a word....
Again, thank you....you made my day and I feel the light & love and always do when you share your ESH....~smile~
Have a blessed day my friend...
Much love,
Stacey
