Hey Jewels,
You're on a roll now. Try these. They're fun, too.
TEXT [/SIZE*][/color*][/font*]
Remove the asterisks, of course.
There are several fonts: impact, times, geneva
Size can be anything from 1-7. Colors come in red, blue, orange.
Tim showed me how to do the boxes. I have no idea where he learned them. There must be formatting directions somewhere but I never thought to look before.
Have fun!
Hey Danny,
The only trouble with Chicago's efficiency at snow clearing is that everyone is expected to go on with life even if it's pissing down a blizzard. If there's a storm, all I want to do is curl up by the fire with a good book, and I don't care if the streets are salted and 'dozed.
Have a nice night. Take a mental health day tomorrow.

Danny,
Can't you explore the possibility of tele-commuting?
Can't you explore the possibility of tele-commuting?
Unfortunately, no..I used to telecommute way back when..Not now though..
A funny story about telecommuting..way back when, when I was just a sales guy, my co-worker and I telecommuted. We had offices too, but usually worked out of our houses. We both had young kids at the time (under 5) and both our wives were stay-at-home Moms. Any, he had the Sears account..huge account obviously..and he was getting ready to leave to go to their national meeting..he was invited because they sold our products..you know..blah blah..anyway, he was in his home office and his 4 year old son was in there messing around like 4 year olds do and he was packed and ready to leave but decided to leave the VP of Sears a voicemail to let him know what time he was checking into the hotel. So he is leaving the VM and his kid is into everything..messing stuff up, knocking stuff off, really pissing this guy off..so he finally reaches the end of his rope and finished the msg. and hangs up..he is so pissed at this point, he screams "Mary! God**** it! Get this f****** kid out of here! god**** it or I'll get him out!!! Get your a** down here right f****** now god**** it and get this kid!!!"
So, how do I know what he said? He told me. How does he remember his fit of rage? Because he only THOUGHT he hung up the phone. It never hung up. So his whole outburst was recorded on the Sears guys voicemail. He still didn't know it until the dinner that night. The VP sits down, looks at this guy and says"So, how is the wife and child beater?" ...whoa! And the VP forwarded the msg to a bunch of people who then in turn forwarded it to a bunch and pretty soon it was all over the company...and people said the nastiest things to him.
I'll go into the office I believe.

LMAO, Danny,
Allan used to teach overseas classes via webcam from home at odd hours of the night. His office has glass doors opposite our bedroom. I learned very quickly not to come out half-dressed.
Be that way. Go to work tomorrow. See if I care. LOL

yep! good ole chicago snow storm, its funny i was noticing drifts outside my bedroom window today, i always tell my kids that it hasnt snowed like it use to when i was a child, of course i will never forget the storm of '67 and '79 but seeing the drifts was cool, i actually was wishing it would of snowed more! as long as i was inside and my family is safe with me...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
my malibu yard lights are buried now and my rhododendron, only can see the top of her. my son goes to uic in chicago, commutes by train, he stayed home as he learned by email some of his classes were closed, my other son attends a community college in sugar grove, next city to us and i know how fast 19 yr olds drive so my motherly instincts and anxiety kicked in and told him to stay home, was a relief to see my boys tucked in their beds safe and sound as it got wicked there for awhile. i stayed home from work as i work in batavia one day a week and in aurora the rest, today was my batavia day and i am a big baby when it comes to driving anything over 30 miles a hour in snow and especially ice! i always worry about black ice! my husband worked in moline and arrived home at 1 pm, he said he was worried he wouldnt make it home if he didnt leave when he did. so the news here extended the winter advisory til 9 am wed morn.
i am such a nite owl tonight, it is 6 degrees. i think i will probably stay home today as well as randall road is wide open field in some areas and the roads are still gonna be bad.
my dogs were like what is this? they were reluctant to go out to do their business. so gina where do you live and did you get alot of snow? jewels

Morning Jewels,
I live in NC now and it's only raining here. We haven't had significant snowfall in years. But I've done my time in the Midwest and I don't miss the snow one bit. The year we moved to Evanston there a run of sunless, snowy days so long that I thought I was losing my color vision.
Stay inside. Stay warm. All snow play must be followed by hot chocolate.
Love,
Gina

The problem here is it's not enough to shut everything down but enough to make life a royal pain in the neck.
Danny,
Anywhere else but Chicago, it would be enough to shut things down. But y'all have some macho snowplow thing going on. I'm sure it's written somewhere in the International Rules for Men.
STAY HOME.
