Good Advice That I Read Here.

This little jem was stuck in a thread I read here by Soccermom.

What a beautiful piece of advice no matter what the problem. I find that not staying the present is the biggest part of my insanity I hope you don't mind Gina this is excellent advice and I love it!

You and I need to stop spinning fantasies about the future. We can't know while we're under the influence of a bad relationship what life can look like when that influence is gone, any more than we can know what recovery feels like until after we're out from under the influence of drugs.

Thank you , Thank you.

Jane
Jane,

I don't mind at all. I told my friend that the good she did went further than she knew.

No thanks necessary. I've been blessed with some wonderful teachers.

And Jodi, ( I hope you see this here but I'm not sure where it's appropriate to put it) I read in a post that you have some really wonderful days in your marriage. I'm sure they must seem so. After as long as you've been married, and so young, too, you probably don't know that it can be even better than that. It seems wonderful now just from contrast with when the s*** really hits the fan -- like being high is great if the only other foreseeable option is WD. But the worst day sober is just in a different universe than the best day using. Same goes for the worst day single vs. the best day in a lousy marriage.

At least that's what I'm told by people that have been through it, LOL, but that's the belief I'm hitching myself to. They weren't wrong when they said the same about sobriety vs. being s***faced 24/7.

Love,
Gina

Jane I hope your feeling strong today! Sending some real good vibes your way!
