I Did the same thing, my whole adult life when I LIVED UP THERE & still do it in Fl. the AC could be set 60 & my fan is just a blowing away.

my youngest has a thing for noise, now it's the fan, if I have to run the vaporizer for him, he get's hooked on that, I need to buy him some more fish for his tank, that helps him sleep too...

a fish tank is an awesome idea, now i could do bubbles and that sound. thats more realaxing plus the dim light and watching those lil guys flounder around. that would be about the only pet i would own.

the only problem with fish is keeping the little fellas alive...he has a hard time with them dying...and insists on a proper burial...no burials at sea in this house...lol
Boo... Jeff and I are both warm blooded, but I can't take the cold air blowing directly on my face. It always gives me a sore throat. I bundle up in my flannel PJ's and he's beside me, wearing boxers... I don't see how he does it.
Jeff has a huge aquarium, but I won't let him set it up. We have two cats and a dog (not to mention three kids)...I told him, 'Why not get a couple of birds, some chickens, and maybe a goat or two??" He wants to make it like Wild Kingdom around here....lol

hahaha yeah that too, and i would preffer salt water cause they are so cooler. but so much more maintenance, i used to go to this bar called the sharks club and i would sit next to the tank with a real shark and i swear this shark would always come over and rest next to my shoulder. he was my lil date for the evening. heheheh

I had a 20 gallon tank one time and I had one of those algae suckers...that thing was as long as my arm....needless to say i never stuck my arm in there to clean it...i was afraid it would suck my arm off...lol

i am not a pet lover at all, i only love animals in thier elements out in the wild admiring them out on a hike or camping, i cant stand dog/cat hair and sloppy food/water and them licking/sniffing/nudging lol but my kids want one so bad. we did have a dog for 8 yrs and she was cool except the shedding. but i know there could be no other dog like her. i just dont have patients for them animals and babies lol my lil sis is pregnant with her 3rd baby by the way.

its not like it was an eel, i had a lizard one time, when i got it, it had been growing in a tank too small for its size so it developed a hunch back, so i named him kwazi modo. that was a cool pet too. i ended up giving him to a bachelor neighbor cause cleaning the tank was icky.

Congratulations boo! You're going to be a new aunt! My sister is six years older than me and doesn't have kids, and doesn't plan on having any. That's cool, I guess. At least she knows what she wants.
Actually boo, I don't want the cats. They came with the marriage. Now, the dog is all mine. I love that little girl as if she was my fourth child. She doesn't shed either. She's a maltese, and they have hair, not fur. She is the most loyal little thing I've ever seen. She maybe tiny, but she would defend me to the death. I would be so lonely without her to keep me company during the day and at night after everyone is in the bed.

thats how my dog was, she respected my space yet she was right there when i needed her, so perfect for me. i doubt there will ever be another like her, she was a springer/lab mix. thanks on my sis yeah i tease her cause she married a mexican man, so now i tell her she has a lil mexican in her hehehe but it was bitter sweet same day i found out about her being pregnant i found out about my neices cancer, but my neice's cancer is sounding more posative, so i feel better about that. also my best friend knows someone in the corporate for make a wish foundation, so i am getting something going on that, so it feels good that i can be able to do something posative.

That's great news, boo! I'm glad to hear that your niece is getting a good prognosis. She's so young to have to deal with this. I was watching a show last night about a kid who made a wish to the Make a Wish Foundation. His wish was to see a naked lady...LOL... They couldn't accomodate him, so he had to come up with another wish.
Good for you, for trying to help her through this with positive things. All girls should have an aunt like you.

hahaha i heard about that kid to see the naked lady, damn they coulda at least bout him a playboy lol or maybe the one i am thinking the kid wanted to have sex with a woman. if i know my niece she will wanna meet and be back stage with some crazy rock band. man she is doing so good she went to school the day after her biopsy, the biopsy was only supposed to take 10 minutes but ended up taking 50 minutes, more of the tumor just kept coming out so they took out as much as they could get at that time.
