I love it when you post your"good mornings"then I know that you are there and I can keep up with how you are feeling..I am very proud of you taking 8 pills now..That is great!!! Keep up the work and if you need anything let me know. I am going to try and find a playstation 2 for my 6 year old. He plays it when at his dad's for the weekends and I know he would enjoy having it at my house during the week... It's just finding one now that may be difficult. Have a good day~~~~~~~ Rae

Oh Thank You Liz I am looking out my window to see these tieeny tinny snow flakes comming down.I love to sit and watch it just not to drive in it,I am doing very well I've only had8 of my 10 so far.Kinda makes me think I can do it this time

I am new... I have been taking prescribed pain medication for four years and decided to stop. I talked to the Dr. today and he reluctantly agreed to start tapering my dose each week. I AM SO SCARED! I know what withdrawals are like 'cause i've run out of medication before, but i am determined to stop being a slave to this stuff. I started because of serious back pain, but i don't want to live addicted to medication!

Thank you. I guess I owe it all to the fact that I stopped the pills and started a new medication. I just feel so much better. First time in years I'm not depressed. Actually enjoying my days now. I hope you have a pleasant day as well.
Molly, where do you live? It's supposed to snow here today too.

Congrats on your decision to quit taking those pills. It won't be easy but it will be worth it. Nothing worse then running out all the time and going through wds. You can get passed the wds and never have to experience it again. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the Board -- I know that the thought of tapering is scary, but you're doing it the right way by telling your doctor and enlisting his support. It will be ok, certainly better than running out and going through withdrawal c/t, which it sounds like you've already experienced. We'll be here to support ya, and the payoff is sooo worth it. M.

Molly you live close to me. I am a 20 minute drive to Kingston. I live in Staatsburg. On the border of Hyde Park. Guess it will start snowing here soon then. lol
I use to take long rides and pass through there.I think thats by the mountains isn't it.I swear when my girls are grown I want to disappear up into the mountains.I love the woods and all things in it.I hope I'm right about where I think you are....mollyjean

Molly this is NY, Lots of mountains everywhere and woods. I go to Kingston all the time. I shop at the Walmart there. I love that store, lol. I'm only around a 20 minute drive from there.
