Good Morning all.Its Freezen here in my little NY town.The kids have a 2 hr delay which in my littleones case is good(talking on the phone with friends tires her out.I hope everyone is starting their day off well & for the ones haven a crappy morning I hope it gets better....mj
Hey MJ, good morning. Two hour delay here also, thankfully. Roads are bad, and the drivers are worse. :) Never seen more 4-wheel drive vehicles but fewer drivers who know how to drive in snow/ice conditions. lol Enjoy! M.

Hope you both are well this morning........no 2 hour delay here, they have a real problem closing school were I am........but they have been through with sand and salt....at the intersections.
The baby had a blast in the snow yesterday, first time for her sledding...... daddy got home in time to see her take her first steps in it! He even pulled me on the sled.....lol

good morning : ) i usually don't drop in on your good morning threads mostly because its early and havent collected much of my thoughts yet. but i have come to expect reading them now. my day wouldnt be the same with out them. its like reading the sunday morning paper when i come to the board and i look for mj's hearty goodmorning thread. : ) so i just thought i'd pause a second and say good morning to the board as well. with a very special one to molly.

I woke up in a great mood today, my soon to be 6 year old son woke up this morning and told me how much he loved me. We have been playing alot together lately and its been really nice. He is one of my biggest inspiration. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone! Hope all is good and peaceful wherever you are today. Here in GA it is beautiful, sunny and 30! Sorry you northeners are having to endure such bitter cold, but sounds like you're having fun in the snow!!
I am patting myself on the back this morning for maintaining my cool last night against an over zealous dad at the basketball game. He aimed his ridiculous anger at my child and a few months ago, I would have really unloaded on him. He was just making faces and comments in the bleachers about my son's mistakes on the court, not directly to him, or I would have really jumped on him. Anyway, the fact that I didn't blast him is commendable, for me. I call it progress when I can laugh and walk away. However, I may still get him at the next game! LOL!

Redd........Good morning to you!! Little boys are greatest, huh? I love my daughter endlessly, but that little guy of mine is so different........I just can't get enough of him. Enjoy yours, they grow up sooo fast. Mine is 9.

My son feels better today so we are going to the gym this morning. Can you believe he was up from 2:30a.m. to 5:30a.m. Drove me nuts. I went to sleep in my daughters room but the whole time I knew he was awake,so I didnt sleep very well. He does this every morning. He goes to sleep between 7-8 every night. He takes one good nap a day. I dont know. I guess he will grow out of it. Anyway, its 52 here in Louisiana. Its feels great.

Mom I think that you holding your temper was a great thing.We moms are like lionesses when it comes to protecting our own.I know I've embaressed my girls at time for running my mouth but its my job to try & protect them when I can.Its funny they are the same with me.My oldest is like this protecter.She can say things to me & about me but the Lord help anyone that tries to put me down.OK I admit it I think its cool how they love me & belive in me....mj
ME........Morning sweetie......I know about the h.s. parents. My daughter cheered for 10 years including 4 in high school competitively, so I am broke in with the most vicious of the vicious......CHEERLEADER MOMS!! LOL
But since my son has been playing ball at the age of 4, I have been astounded by dads who think we are in the major leagues. And the sad thing is, it is so much worse for their son's. This guy last night is a 60 year old and I truly was afraid he was going to have a heart attack. That is probably why I let him slide, I was worried about him. LOL
I have to go to therapy today and I am happy that I do not have any major complaints to take with me. I am sure we will be able to stir up some discussion, but at least I'm not going in with a list of problems. This is progress.
And I am very grateful to be where I am today.

LOL Deb......mine were alittle upset to that they couldn't sleep longer, especially when they saw the on the tv that other schools were opening late......
Dear Carol I hear ya.My 12 yr old plays softball and she is very very good,but I have told her & I stand by this.If there ever comes a time that it is work for her instead of fun thats when I would try & make her stop.I agree with pushing your children(of course)but when it comes to sports & parents takin the fun out of it well thats something else.
