Morning all you beaners!! Thought I would post over here although I am sure it is after lunch on the mainland!!
MJ...honey I am so sorry to hear about your sadness...and the kitty's...I have been having a lil heartache myself...my daughter...and her poor kitty Boots,..she has had her for 6+ years is alone alot and destroying her furniture and apt....she isn't even allowed to have her at her new apt. She called the spca...and tried to find a home...she was actually gonna have that lil kitty euthanized...they told her to bring a blanket with her smell on it and a favorite toy...she cried in hysterics...and couldn't go through with it....I knew it all along...she has been bringing home stray animals since she was 4 years old.
The good news is she still has boots and will keep her or die herself she said....we also had a beautiful husky that showed up here a couple of days ago...of courses Kearra fell in love instantly and made him a bed...got some doggy treats and water and started telling everyone that would listen she had a dog. This amazing dog was a bit skitish and sad...but followed Kearra everywhere and would not leave her side....we had to go shopping..left him out front and was so happy to see Kearra when we returned a few hours later.
I knew that I couldn't keep him he had tags...so I called the pound and got the owners plhone numbers...K was horrified....but I explained that if it was our puppy and he was lost we would so upset..so the dogs humans are worried she asked???
The guy came a few hours latr to pick him up...the dog was less than happy to see him...tail tucked under his but..I was worried that he was perhaps mean to this beautiful animal...anyway K bawled and bawled...a few hours later the couple both came back with a few gifts for Kearra and told her how kind she was for looking after there puppy and that if ever they couldn't keep him they would think of her. Turns out the dog had been frightened by the "fireworks"...ahhh ok...my gut is telling me something else..but anyway ..K learned a valuable lesson and the people got there dog back!
Needless to say...we are going to the pound today....we are getting real close to getting a dog...for our family...I am excited yet scared...I lost both my beloved pets a dog and a cat...over 5 years ago..and this is the first I have even been able to entertain the idea....
Hope everyone has a good day....its a bit chilly here this morning.....its only about 75 degrees yet....need a house coat. Seriously!!!
