Yeah I don't know what Anna can do about it but look at him and say"Don't touch me again".. He may be freightened but her looking at him like she means it. I don't know she has probably done that before. I would just tell him if your going to hit when your in my house then you can't come back up... He is going to be in big trouble when he gets older if he doesn't realize now he can't be a bully. It is good your sister is seeking help for him now.It is ONLy going to get worse when he is a teenage boy..I have been very lucky with my kids. I never have had to disipline them much, I just look at them and they know.

I know Im not saying Anne doesnt get into her own crap.Like alot of times if she would let him run his mouth he would be done.But Anne like her mom LOVES having the last word.It just seems so unfair.My girls have there bad days but I dont think they were EVER that disrespectful & mean.I dont think I could deal with my own child spitting on me.

Rae, you are very lucky to not any discipline probs. Very lucky indeed. My daughter was an angel who never go in trouble, Cade on the other hand is very mischevious and will push and push. When he was in Kindergarten we got the "He needs to be on ritalin' talk, but I didn't think he was ADHD so I wouldn't do it.His teacher once put him in the corner for 6 hours! Talk about a ugly scene when that happened. I could have had her job. They were playing a game with balloons in the gym, and he popped one and she gave him a 6 hour time out. He was 5 at the time. Unbelievable, huh?
He is SOOOO much better now, and all his teachers agree he doesn't need medication. He is just a little boy with a lot of energy who needs to reined in from time to time.

a complete turn around..at the end of kindergarden,
his teacher suggested to me w/ talk to his dr.this is after the entire
yr. he was in trouble..at least 4x a week..i still have the agenda to prove it..
agenda is a book that is sent home everyday to tell how the child did,didhe/she get in trouble or not,if so what happened...anyway,here at home we were seeing things to..could not sit still,all kids do this right,he couldn't sit in a chair for a ten min. dinner...up& down all the time..impulsive...did things w/o thinking.run in to a street w/ me screaming for him to stop.dangerous things..anyway, we put him on
adderall xr..15mg to start..today we're at 30mg..but it has been a god send.. no trouble in school.we sit for a meal time togather..peacefully..
i'm not one to give meds to all kids, but in some cases it helps...

Morning everyone I can kinda relate to the charles manson jr thing but not really the same because its a teenager thing I have a daughter I call satan and shes said a couple of really bad things to me lately the first time I told her not to talk to me like that tryed the talking thing you know? Second time she said it I nailed her as hard as I could in the mouth Im sorry but she hasnt called me it since. Too many bleeding hearts out there Theres a big difference between abuse and disapline .She threatened to call the cops on me Isaid go ahead cause inbetween the call and the time it takes them to get here im getting it all in If Im going to jail for disapline then Im making it a good one. Make up for all the times I shoulda but didnt out of fear.I dont have to take abuse either I told her it works both ways.My mother is 65 and she has MS and Im telling you if I called her what my girl called me it would be a healing miracle and Id be on the floor before I knew it and rightly so.Also I havent had a proplem like that since.Anyhow good morning another hot oneeh?

MJ, I totally agree that some kids genuinely need the drugs. I know many whose lives have been greatly improved by using it and who do much better in school. Good for you that you found the answer.
But teachers today are much too quick to want to put kids on it just to make their jobs easier. It is illegal here in GA also for them to tell us that, but our Kdg. teacher did it anyway. She and I were personal friends, so she thought she could say anything to me about my son and it would be OK. NOT! Sadly, we are no longer friends. She told me my son would never achieve academically if I didn't medicate him, he is now a straight A student and in the program for gifted kids. And he rarely gets in trouble at school. Guess he showed her, huh?
She also told me the guys at Columbine were ADHD and that is the sort of thing I could look forward to if I didn't medicate him. WTF!

My oldest she has her moments but she's a good girl and a good student..
She helps a lot around the house and with the 2 younger children..

I know I remember a couple wooden spoons broken over my butt.Tracey dont feel bad I think when our daughters start hitting that age they talk with their hormones.My oldest & me are close now but boy we had a hard time for about 3 years.Now my younger(miss thing)is starting with her moodiness.I should of raised catsLOL.

I agree they had it in for my oldest daughter in elementary school cause she didnt take anyones s*** there telling me she needs counceling bulls*** in highschool shes a honor student and she works and she takes no prisoners shes got a good head on her shoulders and knows when people are trying to bulls*** her and I wouldnt have her any other way.She also works and is a very loving daughter Thats with no counceling
Rachel.........LOL I was actually quite proud that I didn't go up there and beat her a**. I handled it through the counselor and principal and waited till school was out that year before I unloaded on the teacher. I knew we had to put up with her for the rest of the year (it happened in Nov.), so I didn't want all out war knowing she would treat him bad if I pissed her off. She had the nerve to tell me "Well it worked! I didn't have any trouble out of him for a while after he sat in the corner for the whole day." B****!

we talked bout him coming off the meds. when he gets older.
she said that its best, from her exeper. , to wait to take them off the meds after
they go thru puberty due to all the harmones.once the harmones have calmed
down some then we could go for a period w/o meds to see if he can manage w/o them..she said that some sstudy has indicated that children w/ add/adhd can learn how to manage the symptoms..so we are hoping he can...
i also have a frein that has a child that stayed in trouble all the time. but he was always finished w/ his work first and was board so he would start making trouble.
anyway, his mom would print worksheets from a website and send them in so when he finished he would have something to keep him busy.he also turned out to be gifted and scored off the charts on the test they gave him..
anyway good luck to you w/ your nephew.

I heard that adhd could be diet related like a food allergy? Anyone else hear that?
