i am in the midst of preparing food for a party this afternoon in celebration of my son. he graduates tomorrow night. i'm so proud of him and he sure has put forth the effort to learn, learn, learn.
i'll need a vacation after today is over with. that or maybe change professions to a caterer...on second thought, the vaca sounds better!

My daughter graduated college last year. She was the first female in our family to get her degree, and she was Magna c** Laude. I was the proudest mom ever, and still am! It is a great feeling, isn't it? Enjoy this day, you've worked hard to get him here, too!

ahhhh carol...this is just a high school graduation and he graduated "oh my laude/lordie" :))
however, this is without a doubt the most caring, driven for positive results, kid that God blew breath in. i'm blessed carol - truly blessed. he'll be going on to college in the fall.

Now I know I have talked about my nephew(Charlie Manson Jr)Well my sister has finally desided to bring him to a therapist.So picture this 7 year old boy who knows more bad nasty words than a sailor,spits on his mom.Tells his dad to die & is FOREVER saying & doing very mean things to my youngest(13)Well my sister says that this lady told her to LET her son do this stuff.When hes throwing one of these fits shes suppose to let him do whatever,than wait till he calms down & talk to him.....OMG I just couldnt deal with my daughters saying & doing the stuff this kid does.Anyways I ask my sis I was like could you PLEASE ask the therapist how my youngest is suppose to deal with it when hes calling her retarted,a co-k I mean really bad words not to mention he hits her.What the heck is my daughter suppose to do?Let him do these things???

Well, Sammy, I am happy to hear it! He no doubt will be like his mother and accomplish great things. You are both truly blessed and lucky to have each other!
I wish you both a glorious day and I wish you lots of luck when he leaves for college in the fall. Whether he is away from home or not, college is such a change for everyone.
My daughter lived at home for the first half of the first year, and after that..... off she went.......never to return! LOL She had a great college experience! Now that she is working and living in the real world, she wishes daily that she could be back living the life of a sorority girl and partying 24/7.
I hope the weather up there co-operates today. It's been raining in GA for about 2 weeks now.......with no let up in sight thanks to Arlene.

MJ.......sure I rememer Charles Manson, JR. Sounds like she needs to call the Nanny Patrol and/or switch therapists. I don't know about modern childhood therapy, but allowing him to behave like that doesn't sound good to me.
At least your sister is admitting he has a problem. Is he the only child? And what about his dad, is he around? Have they told her they need to medicate him yet? They surely will..........that seems to be the pat answer to all kid problems these days. Some need it, but many don't.
THat has to be bad for Anne to deal with. Maybe if she got in his face one good time and really layed down the law he would act better to her. ???

No bad storms here, just dark skies, little wind and lots of rain. Looks like we will have it all again today. The beach is out for us this week. No use driving 5 hours to sit inside and listen to rain on the roof, huh?

As for your baby drugs, I doubt what your were given as a young child has anything to do with your desire to overmedicate as a adult. Just MHO.
However, as for teens and older kids who are given Ritalin,etc. all their lives, that is a whole different story. Not sure what the stats are on how many of them turn to drugs as adults.
Too bad about his dad. Guess he isn't much help, huh? That is all too bad for your sister, and all of you who have to deal with this kid daily. And how sad for the little boy! How does he do in school?

Hi Rae thanks for your prayers.Yes charlie manson Jr is in school & my sister has been called more than once cause he has a hard time keeping his hands to himself.I think Im the ONLY one this kid wont give crap to cause yup I admit it a couple years back I tanned his butt.It may sound hard but remember Im not the type to do that.Now the little creep is sweet to me.Hes 7going on 8?But when he hits Anne I gotta say he has left marks on her.What is she suppose to do.My biggest worry is that if Anne sticksup for herself my sister will evite (sp)As crappy as it is here the rent is cheap so picking up & moving isnt that easy.Plus Im living in the same apt my parents lived in when they were married/Its like Ive always live here you know??
