How are all you fine people this morning?
Its a little dark and dreary here this morning,but after all the snow sleet and rain,its and improvment.We are supposed to hit the 60's this weekend and i cant wait!!! (REDD~AMY) i think i'll finally get to go sit out on my deck furniture and might even fire up the grill!....that might be pushing it,but things are going to be turning much better in the weather department!
Its amazing how much the weather can determine your mood.I wish i lived in a state where its sunny and hot year round.I love Florida and hope to retire there some day. My middle son lives there and absolutely loves it!
I hope your all doing alright.Things seem to have settled down on the board,i hope we can now go back to what it used to be,talk of recovery,friendships and just whats on each others agendas each day.Take care~KIM
Good Morning Kim!
Yesterday I was writing all day, and the people who help me keep this house on track were here cleaning...so I set up outside on my back patio. It was in the 70's here yesterday.
I could smell the star jasmine, the Magnolia Friscata. That magnolia bloom is tiny and smells like cherry banana's. It was heaven!
In the evening my husband and I burned a fire in the chimeneya...until it rained too hard to stay outside. It was very nice.
I know we all feel better with the sun on our faces.

See? Warm weather had to come eventually!!! I'm glad you'll be sitting outside in the sun soon. Its still cold here, but the warm weather is on its way. I have a bunch of family coming in next weekend to stay at my house so I hope its here by then, it better be. My dad is taking the puppy then...sob...I'm gonna miss that lil fur ball.
I wasn't here on board for a week or so, looks like it was a good week to take off. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

In my opinion, ignorance is always bliss!
You sound good! I am glad...I have company coming this weekend, and my back is kind of against the wall with school work. I feel like I need to do all I can to accomodate those I love around here...because of the move coming up.
I know I will be glad I did in hindsight.
I am trying to talk my husband into taking one of the dogs with him out west next week. I think he would be good company for my husband, and leave me only one to take care of in his absence. He is concerned about splitting them up, but I think they will be glad to have all the one on one!

What is the company coming in for? How many? I always get caught up in people coming, I want my house to look its best so I clean things they will never notice anyways.
Are you excited about the move? When I had 2 dogs I took the one with me everywhere and they were fine about it, so I think its a good idea.
Today, I'm going to try and paint the spare bedroom. I have my moms old wedding ring quilt and that's my inspiration. I want the room to look bed and breakfasty but not too feminine. The colors are warm light green and ivory on the quilt. I don't know how much Ava will let me do, and a puppy to boot.
Keeping busy is helping my mind. I'm so disturbed by the tragedy of VTech. I had to turn the TV off. Its just so sad and senseless.

Amy,i sure hope the weather does warm up for your company.Theres always dinner out,but nothing like sitting ouside on the deck uintil the early evening hours,cooking and chatting.Its so relaxing.We do it all summer long!
Sarah,sounds like youve got your hand sfull? Your evening lsat night sounds like heaven!!!!! How long have you been married? I just cant wait much longer for the warmer weather,it is so uplifting!Hope you can convince hubby to take the dog,they will survive without each other,and will be happy when they get back togethre.

Change is good sometimes Kim, and to me its just hair after all. My hairdresser says whats the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut? 2 weeks.
My husband prefers long hair as well, I think most men do. My son is obsessed with my hair. When we cuddle he always strokes it, so I can't cut it too short just for that reason. I know my sons first girlfriend will have long hair.
I'm sure whatever you do, you'll be beautiful.

Sarah it was gorgeous out yesterday. Kenny was playing all afternoon. That little guy has quite an arm. He loves playing with a ball or he would swing all day long if I would keep on pushing him. The sky was so blue and pretty.
I'm up a bit early this morning, unfortunately with the pretty weather comes allergies. Kenny has asthma and the poor kid has to suffer to play outdoors.
Kim, I think I may be growing my hair out this time. Can you say continuous ponytail?
