My hubby is out digging a grave, oh how exciting. I have a sick kid, Dylan has a virus, temp, sore throat. I am getting up energy to make another casserole for hubby to bring over to his friends house. I also woke up with a sore throat and headache sometime in the night...so I'm scheduled for a day of fun...yippee!
Time for another coffee and a stir to the fire.

Especially a "dramatic" one. He is like me....loves to expand on his symptoms, though he came home from school with a temp of 102.4 yesterday. Gave him Ibuprofen and he's been running normal since. Once that stuff kicked in he got his appetite back. He's still coughing though. Hopefully we can avoid a dr visit Monday. Instead we have to go have a conference with all his teachers. Evidently he's been a bit of a stinker in school...doesn't want to listen, do work...so he's major grounded.
Janet do you know anything about cell phones?The plan I bought for Anne is only suppose to be under 100 a mth yet I dont get bills & when I do its over 200.00/I swear it may be just worth it to buy out of the freaking contract & get her another cause honest this one SUCKS
All I know is that we have been on a plan with Cingular for the past 4 years. We pay about $70 a month, 2 phones and 1,000 minutes between us. Is she texting alot? Now that I'm not in Real Estate I barely use mine. Someone on here does alot of texting, can't remember who right now.

With her plan she has unlimited texting & unlimited incomming calls.She only has 500 min outgoing,but thats NOT the problem cause she just calls people long enough to say call me back.

I like Cingular a lot too. I think I have the same plan as Janet..it's 1000 minutes a month and $70, except I only have one phone..mmmm..maybe I can get two and call myself..Cingular customer service is also pretty good..at least for me.

Danny, hubby and I also have a Postal discount because he is USPS. I think it's like 15%
I made them take off the charge for internet and some other stuff that we will never use. I think I've texted twice since I had the phone...and it is intelligible because I don't know how to do certain letters or phrases...lol
MJ...that's why I would NEVER, EVER get a phone for my kids. Dylan wants one and NO WAY...he's too dang young. I watched his friend after he got one and he was playing with it....wasting all sorts of minutes....NOPE

See with me Janet with Anne having a phone with her I feel safer & she & I keep in contact when shes out.But this Sprint really sucks.The hardest thing for me is Im trying really hard to get all my credit cards paid off by August for vacation & Ill tell ya HER bill is the one thing I spend the most on.
Hopefully now that Ill be working even part time I can get even 1/2 foot ahead ya know?

All my older kids have a phone and I think it's nuts. Why pay that kind of dough sso they can talk non-stop about nonsense..this is what both of my sons do when they come over.
1 Call friends on their cell phone
2. Jump on Myspace
3. Spend 2-3 hours there
4. Take a break from myspace to call friends
5. Get back on myspace

Well Danny thats why with her plan I got unlimited INCOMMING calls so she can talk & its (not suppose to)cost much.I believe I also paid an extra 15.00 for unlimited texting so...I really am unhappy about this.
With Anne being 14 & beautiful I just like the fact that she has a phone if anything should happen.But as I said with the $$$ Im paying I may as well buy out of the contract & try another company.THIS time Ill do some reaserch on it though.

Goos everyone. Just got home from work. I have cingular also with three phones. We have 3000 minutes between us. I pay 149.00 I think a month. I had the text messaging cut off because my daughter was going crazy with it. I use to have Sprint and they suck. For my 12 year old son we got him a prepaid one so he can get in touch with us afterschool when he is playing sports. That's all he uses it for. As far as My Space my kids know they will have their computers taken away from them if I even suspect they go on there. I have heard to many horror stories about that site. Have a great night guys. I hate cell phones! Electronic leash! When my kids were younger...of course they wanted one....I like the idea of being able to keep in touch, however....there are phones everywhere and when they were expected to call and check in..they did it! IF they didn't there were consequences!!
If they wanted a to have a cell phone...no problem...I hooked it up and signed the contract on there behalf BUT...they paid....or helped! Got a part time job and were responsible for there OWN bill. Taught them a valuable lesson! Same thing with there cars! I helped them...but they had to pay for there own insurance...or at least contribute!
Today...they are very responsible with there own bills and fiercely independent! They thank me for making them take responsibility for the things that WANTED! not NEEDED!
