Hello my friend..hope all is good wid you..as it is me...just a kinda dumd Q?tHE style council you mentioned..i presume they are not the same group that Paul Weller(the jam)fronted in the mid.80s.Just a bit confused as id love a listen...il just search for it...cheers as usual mate...Davey
What up D!
Yes they are, it was Paul that formed the group...(as he did with The Jam), joined by Mike Talbot....later joined by drummer Steve White and vocalist Dee C. Lee!! He formed The Style Council when he disbanded The Jam. About a month ago I ordered: The Complete Adventures Of The Style Council(A MUST HAVE FOR ANY FAN OF THE COUNCIL OR A GREAT BEGINNERS GUIDE TO THERE MUSIC) which is a box set complete with 5 cd's that includes just about EVERY tune they made. It even includes a house album that Polydor(there label at the time) never released....until now! I got mine from off of Amazon for about $35.00....the average price for it is about $60 to $70 dollars. Davey my friend you will not be dissappointed being as though you are a "SEASONED" music lover as myself(LOL)! A hearty american cheers to you sir:-)!

Davey,
Yes it is quite rare. For years I had heard that there was a house album that there label put on the shelf because it was far from the norm for The Council. They did release one of the tunes as a single tittled: Can You Still Love Me? but by the time it was out, the time was up for The council. Also...you are spot on about Steve White! As for Dee C. Lee, she did a duet with Paul for the very last full Council album called: Changing The Guard that although is a lush ballad, is one beautiful tune! As always, the best to you sir!
