Thanks, Davey, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too! I have Irish on both my mom's side (McDermott) and dad's (Ryan). My mom was very proud of her Irish heritage. We had her all dolled up for her last St. Patrick's Day! She had a hat, beads, bracelet, ring, scarf, shirt, and pin on!!!! She looked so cute!
I look pretty Irish I think. I have dark hair with a little bit of red highlights in it, fair skin, and green eyes.

Happy St Patricks day....all my family are Irish.....so even though my parents were both born in England, as was I..... they never forget to remind me that all my blood is Irish! Plus i also look typically Irish and the surname....Burke a pretty big giveaway too!
I think i will have trouble finding a pint of Guiness here, but will try and hunt some down.....make BF happy he tried it for the first time in Galway last summer and he got quite a taste for it!

Wow, Davey, that's neat! Maybe we're distantly related! If anyone in your family has researched the family tree, my grandfather's name was Vincent McDermott. I'll check with my cousins on my side to see if they've done any.

A great name indeed Davey, my Irish friend. I feel a part of today just from knowing you! I left my shamrock necklace at work, but don't think I'll come in contact with anyone wanting to pinch me. Is that a tradition in Ireland or another we made up here...if you don't wear green you get pinched?
I'm good. Busy as ever. Just took my boys to their school to catch a bus. They'll be going to play at the airport, welcoming incoming troops home. I wish it were all of them. I'm so glad England has wised up. Hopefully we'll follow. Mine will be 18 this year and it worries me to no end.
I can just see lovely Sian marching up and down, waving her flag, excited by the noise and music. How fun for her and you watching her. I can see your proud smile as well. Both of mine are in the marching band, one on the drum line. It's fun and exciting to watch. I envy you your little one. Holidays quickly become just another day when there are no kids ones around.

Sian.........she makes my day just hearing about her.......Davey, maybe you should send her to dance school where they do the traditional Irish dance.
Being the honest girl I am...........I don't enjoy dance where nobody ain't moving the upper body............I do however LOVE the beautiful costumes........and I love the switches (fake hair)........with the finger curls.
Meanwhile alright I'll say it...........I got Irish blood, but wa raised not to admit to it........why???????? You tell me........although as soon as I was out to beating on someone.......yeah, my mom would say it......."You're just like that biological man"............the entire family fought.........fought eachother even.....and ya jus HAVE to say your mind.
Unlike the Germans.......stoic, and staunch........AND they invented all that's good......including bayer asprin..........well I say they invented methadone too so why don't ya harp on that while you're at it????????

Tres is right Davey. Us single parents get 2 days a year to not have to fix supper I guess. You're awful good to your girl, always putting her first and seeing to her needs. And much beyond that. You love her and play with her. Celebrate and enjoy her. To love a child is the best investment that can be made. It comes back 10 fold. Enjoy this day as your own!
