I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! We did; we just got back from the mainland. We had Thanksgiving in Carmel at my sisters house, and then drove to Vegas and stayed there a week.
I passed some major tests......I survived my family sober!!! My dad said he was proud of me; that I was really doing this.
I have an older brother that didn't drink during dinner, but started partying right after and ended up making an a** of himself...it was a good reminder.
I hope you are all well and sober. I have missed you all.
It sure was nice to get away. Paradise looks so small now...:0)

Kerry, I have wondered where your were.. I am so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.. I did too all my kids were here with the grandkids so it was hetic but wonderful having everyone here at one time I really enjoyed it and actually cooked..LOL>.. Gina, I see what you mean. I was reading some posts, and I just don't get it. There sure is a lot of drama...
It was funny; when I got to my sister's house, I put in some laundry. She came in and said "HEY! I heard you were going to a meeting....is this what they teach you as coping skills....to do laundry on Thanksgiving?" It was funny beacause they were all drinking. Honestly, it just isn't an issue anymore. Even in Las Vegas, which used to be a non-stop drink fest. I am greatful that the obsession has been removed. That is a huge jump from 2 years ago....seeing my brother was a good reminder.
All in all, it was a good time and we got to drive through Cali...it was beautiful.
Now, can you all stop fighting, and remember that we are here for a common reason...to avoid the insidious grip of addiction and death?

Good Luck on the finals. About the sub, yeah, I heard you need to take it slow coming off of that. I've heard people get real sick trying to come off of it too quick. Good luck to you. I'm doing ok. Spent the day watching football and cleaning. Getting tired now. Still doing laundry. Takes an hour for my dryer to dry a tub of laundry. Hope you're enjoying the day.
