Well it has been awhile, some much went on last year totally rocked my foundation, My dear Dad passed away, I moved twice had a flood, it was pretty rough for awhile.... I wasn't sober during those times either, I really did fall apart at the seams...but I am glad to report that I am sober now, I have had some great counselling and I'm taking anti-depressants, it's like this huge dark cloud has been lifted, I feel like a new me...I'm glad to see most of the old gang is still here..Idgie how have you been?? I have read some of your posts and it sounds like you are doing just fine!! good on ya girl!!

I am new to this site just 3 weeks into the program but just wanted to say hi to you. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I know from experience it is a hard thing to go through especially if you were close to him . My dad has been gone now for almost 14 years and I still miss him but time heals and someday the memories of good times will outnumber the sadness. I'm so glad that you found your way back to sobriety and this board. I don't know how long you've been gone from the board, but theres some new people here to that are really kind, smart and put their sobriety first. Along with some of great old timers left here.
I'm sorry that life has to be so painful for us people but it is. I to have used alcohol and sometimes weed to escape the pain because I just didn't know another way. But thank God that there are many other ways to live life on lifes terms without intoxicating oneself. I'm sorry for all your losses love-dove it hurts. I've lost 6 of my family members to.
I'm glad that you and your Dr. have found the right med's that's helped that big black cloud to disappear. What else are you planning for your recovery love-dove? Keep posting and find gratitude and store it because we never know when were going to need it. Zac taught me that and it's saved my butt.

Soooo glad to hear you are finding some new hope and health that is wonderful.
I'm sorry about your personal loss, of course we knew your Dad was pretty sick - I hope he didn't suffer too much.
I am doing well LD, sober right now and real happy about that - definately wanting to make a new and better life for myself and I know its no fun out there drinking that is for sure.
