Hello everyone i don't smoke weed I did in high school not much tho but my husband does a lot and he recently lost his job and he starting to steal from me to get high I dont know what to do or what to say when we get arguements about it I want him to stop we have a family and I work a lot and hard so he could steal it and smoke it away what should I do?
Sorry to say that but there is no one that can make an addict stop their addiction but themeselves.
Trying to control the addict is not going anywhere. Just a very tiring and useless battle.
And usually they are not at all eager to stop their addiction and they do not care much about how much they harm the entourage.
Drugs come first.
Please try to joing a support group and look for associations that help the entourage of addicts.
You should not carry this alone and feel isolated.

Independent, what you need to do is safe guard yourself and your family as he is stealing and using it to get high.Safe guard your valuables and financial holdings .Explain to him your concerns your observation . Most likely he will tell you his addiction is not out of control he's fine no need to worry don't be his mother get prepared he will somehow turn this around to be on you.Addicts are very manipulative .If you have money you make sure it is safe guarded. ..Right now he cares more about his high ...Realize he is a grown man you can't make choices for him and you certainly can't be in charge of him.Take control of what you can .Ask him if you might go for counseling that if he is willing to stop this destructive behavior you will be there. BUT you will not tag along as he gets High blows through money and puts himself above you and your family.You must be firm otherwise it will just continue.
