Hi Everyone
My girlfriend has stopped using Crystal for 2 weeks on her own. She is experiencing withdrawel symptoms and cravings. She wants do it on her own and does not want to go to Rehab. I am supporting her all the way and would like to help as much as possible. But I have no idea what to do to help or how it feels as I have never used anything.
Could some one tell me if there is anything that can help her thru this? No more drugs please....
She is doing so well and I am so proud of her.
Thanks
Go to the health food store - get her some amino acids, some B-complex, and some Omega-3 fish oil capsules, maybe even some liquid minerals. All of these will help restore some components usually missed on a a steady diet of meth and not much else. Small balanced meals of protein and colorful vegetables, and as much exercise as she can stand. Even though the last thing they feel like doing is exercising it is an absolute must to help the brain heal...start with easy walks and ramp it up to incude more vigorous activity.
She's lucky to have you...

You're awesome MomNMore,...thanks for your help here.
Mom's right on the money there,...I'll add water,...lots of just plain, good, clean water. Soda's or pop dependin on the area you live,...do not do a good job of replenishing fluids, and also cause a sugar rush and crash. Us speed freaks live for energy, the rush, the "drive". While the rush of sugar will give us a temporary fix,...the end result sugar crash will put us in the exact feeling and emotion we do not want or like to feel.
To keep from rambling on and on,...let me suggest you read "trying to quit" by jobe. What all your girlfriend will be going thru is pretty well covered in my chats with jobe, and what he states he's dealing with. My hat is off to you, I am one that believes in the support of loved ones in quitting. Mind you it is a very fine line between being supportive, and enabling. Offer her all the support she needs as long as she remains accountable for her actions. Best wishes, good luck and bless you both.
