I had kicked the oxy habit with suboxone...was wondering how effective it will be for herion. One bag a day..should i be in withdrawal before taking suboxone? I don't want to tell family I'm back on any opiates, if I can go thru suboxone tx everyone will be the happier...help thanx

I was interested in your message as I am about to go on Sub tomorrow. I was a heavy user of Heroin then started meth detox from 95 down to 30mls this is rec. dose to change over to Sub. In the information leaflet I have is says 'wait at least 4-6 hrs after taking H, 24 hrs after taking meth(max 30mls)'. It also says 'The first few days are the most difficult-you will feel different, but don't worry'.
Maybe I can let you know personally how it feels in a day or two, but from what I've heard and been told its a good way to go.

my son and i are both on H..me one/him 2-3...I have about 6 Subs, I figure 1/2 soon as withdrawal starts...wait til I'm sick then aniother 1/2 then a whole and so on
Don't take that sub unless you are in wd, wait as long as possible atleast 12 hours, 24 is better always to be safe........
Precipated wd is hell beyond imagination.
And seriously consider talking to those around you. Ask for help, for you.

yes, i can ask doc for refill...I told him that i relasped onto H, but he told me that I wasn't THAT addicted due to my 1 bag a day...I'm scared as hell, mainly because w/d is hell. I appriciate the suggestion about not doing any H for 12-24 hours, I can handle that. But how much Sub should I begin with? I was thinking 1/2 tab at a time. Thanx for all your help

It is the same fight from day one, just a different stage, one bag, three bags, really doesn't mean much...
You should go back and see him set up a plan, and dosing schedule. Sub is a tricky drug, that can bite back if not used properly.
You also need to decide if you want to use it just for detox ( 10-21 days), or if you want to be on a few months before you stop to give you time to work on what got you here in the first place.
Don't give up the fight!.
