I think we can safely say that we are out of the woods... my dad is doing so much better and getting stronger every day. They may even be going home (4hours away from me) on Thursday. We set up home health care for them so they should be ok. I truely don't know how nurses do this for a living. It is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. Caring for someone 24/7 is exhausting, mentally and physically. I'll be really glad when all of these meds are out of the house. It so totally f***s with your head.
Christmas was way too hard, am so glad it's over. Hope all of you did ok.
Seems I've missed alot of posts, so I apologize if I don't say the right thing.
Sharon, I figured out that you've been sick and have some family stuff going on. I'm so sorry, girlie. Please email me when you feel up to it and let me know what's up.
Teresa..you're my rock and I've really missed our morning chats..hopefully by Friday we can hook up again.
David, I did get your email and I'm sorry for not responding right away.. you will hear from me soon.
I need all of you to get me back into this recovery game.
Love you all
Cowgirl

I am really glad to hear about your Dad's update. It sounds like he is well on the road to recovery..........I know how tough this has been for you and I continue to keep you and your family in my prayers......Like you I am glad that the Christmas season is almost over.........Although this was the first in the past 6 years I was sober for the holidays it was a real struggle to get thru things this past month..... Regardless of this fact I want to wish you much peace and love for the coming new year..........I think we all deserve that.........
Love ya, Rus

Cowgirl,
I am so glad things are going well. I must say as you posted about all that was going on with your father you gave me great strength. My mother has been sick also...we know whats wrong, but it took the doctors awhile to get her to where she could live somewhat of a normal life. The stress of her in and out of the hospital and back and forth to doctors has been tremendous.....As you got a miracle right before Christmas....so did I, for the first time in 2 months my mother was finally breathing normally and not out of breath just from talking.....
Guess we all have lots to be thankful for.
Your true strength has shined through in all of this, be proud it knowing that you handled it all....Just you with the support of family, friends and god....and nothing else...
You take care,
Tina

Hey Cowgirl,
That is great news about your dad. See prayers really do work, if we do everything we can do and there isn't anything else we can do then that is when Prayer comes in. God loves doing for us what we can't do for ourselves.
Love,
Liz

You're one tough lady Cw, I'm proud of you. I know it's been a hard time but you've come through the worst it sounds like. Just know we're all rooting for you always, (and throwing in a few prayers too) and will all be here for you whenever you need us. Keep hanging in there. I'm so glad you got your miracle, that you got your dad back. My prayer for you was for God to please not take your father yet, that you still needed him here with you. He didn't. Life is good. Love, Kat
Glad to hear things are going well for you CG, the holidays are tough enough without the health of a loved one making it more stressful. It seems you a very strong person having gone through everything you've had to deal with.
Heres hoping to a happy New Year
BTW, do you live in Canada?

Dear Cowgirl,
I'm so relieved that your father's health is improving. Winter break is coming to an end for me, so it's back to school; however, you can certainly count on me to help you focus on your recovery.
I'll be thinking of you, and I hope 2005 brings you continued success. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Cowgirl.

Y..why would I be mad at you? You are such a dear soul. Don't feel like you have to email me, it was only offered if you needed it. I'm glad that you are doing better and thank you all for thinking of me and helping me through this.
John Dee.. nope, not from Canada. I'm a born and bred American girl.
Bender.. always knew I could count on you. You have never let me down.
Kat.... any chance we'll ever catch eachother in chat? Have you heard from Sharon. I miss you both.
