Hi everyone!! Just checking in, to let you know I am still alive and sober!! Been busy with appointments with my Dad, we find out on Monday what stage his cancer is in and if it has spread and all that other stuff, I'm feeling really scared actually to hear the news, I always seem to think the worse. This Father's Day is going to be such a special one for me and my family. Because who knows if he will be here next year.. such an eye opener, sure makes you realize your own mortality. There sure has been times where I have wanted to drink, and drink hard but I'm not going to, I know what happens when I do, I turn into mush, and that's not a good thing right now or ever for that matter. My b/f and I had a big fight as well because of his drinking, I tell ya when it rains it pours!! I'm just going to hang in here and do what I gotta do, I've been thinking of you all, and glad to see you are all still here and doing well!! :)

Hi LD! Great to see you back! Glad you've resisted the temptation & not picked up a drink! Awww...Love-Dove, i'm so glad to see you;) I'm sorry you have to go through all this stuff, but ya know what? There is a light at the end, i am serious....girl, when this has passed, you need to sit down and take a deep breath and think about Love-Dove, and Love-Dove only;)
Love-Dove, isn't it a good feeling to be of service to your Dad and the rest of family? You are showing up sober and are there for them in mind, body and spirit. Hope all goes well on Monday.

You guys what can I say... you brighten my day (I'm a poet and didn't know it heheehee) in all seriousness, THANKS SO MUCH for all your caring words, all of you in your special way make this situation not as bad, you give me strength not to pick up that drink, and remind me that things all have a way of working out, no words can express the gratitude I have for ALL OF YOU!!! And it does feel so good to be here for my family, body, mind and soul last time my dad was sick, as I've told you all I was a mess, used to go to the hospital either drunk or very hungover, so it truly is a miracle that I'm not off to the bar everynight or drinking every night by myself or with whomever, and I owe alot of that to all of you who have been posting and caring, I'll post on Monday and let ya all know how things are, have a blessed weekend and love to you all!!
