Hi,
Just got home a few minutes ago from trick or treating. What a fun night.
We go over to where I grew up at and the kids go out over their. Gina walks the kids around with her best friend and I hang out with my dad and give out candy.
It was a beautiful night, weather was nice and the kids had a ball. I got to see some old friends I don't usually see any more. It's funny now how we talk about our kids and life etc..I'm so grateful I was able to enjoy being clean and sober and turn what would normally be a night just for the kids into a real enjoyable night for the whole family. Anyway, hope everyone is ok and having a nice night.
Now I'm gonna go eat some candy! lol mmmmmm Kit-Kats! lol

Hi Bob, We had a great night here too and enjoyed the wonderful weather. He made through 2 hours of trick or treating. I don't know how he did it, I didn't think he would make it to the end of the block. The kids had a blast and the little one got the hang of it real fast......hold out my basket people give things I never seen before.......I am glad that he hung in to enjoy it all. We are past 72 hours now, looks like thing might be turning around alittle.

I'm glad to hear you guys had a nice night, it probably felt good for him to get some fresh air. The first three or four days are the worst, and although it'll still be uncomfratable for a while things will start to get a little better each day. Thanks for posting, I did think about you two tonight, really, infact I was talkin' to my dad tonight ( who is also in A.A. ) and was telling him a little about you guys. Hang in there, a few days or so of feeling like s--t is well worth it in trade
for the rest of your life feeling good and being free from active addiction.

In the 25 years that we have lived in this house, we have never had a trick or treater.. ;( We live too far out and up a long dark driveway. I miss the kids dressing up and I really miss the whole candy thing.. I have no excuse to buy it and then eat it. Oh well, went a football game and had a great day. It's a great day because for today, I'm still clean.

Tina - so glad to hear your husband was out for a couple of hours. It makes so much of a difference I think, especially early in the wd's, to get outside of your own mind. I can't say I didn't sit around a good bit of the early stages of wd, but I really found that even going for a walk made such a positive difference in the way I felt!

Just wanted to say hi, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU! I do not even need to buy a costume, as I look nothing like myself now a days. I am wondering if I should go blonde, or even red with the hair. After all, I get to BUY my hair now.... sigh. So this year for Halloween, I can go as Sinead O'Conner! LMAO.

HI bob + gina" wanted to say hi' and about holloween i ran out of candy an hour after the kids started coming to our door lol.. had to run out quickly and get some more goodies lol.. we had so many trick or treaters alot more then we usely get and we get alot every year" my youngest is 15 my eldest is 21 so i have no more youngsters to take out for holloween but i can still enjoy handing out the candy i even have a contest since i know most of the parents in my area and they all know that i do that every year so my house is the first one they go to it makes it more excieting for the kids and the parents think its great and whoever has the best our scaryest custume in each group gets the surprise bag they just love it " anyway i hope all is well and please take care of each other you are such dear people.
