Hey ya'll
I read some post on here about hobbies and I think CJ said she hadn't found one yet. I too at almost one year out and hobbie impaired. Wanted to see if we could get a post going to see how many hobbies are out there so some of us can get suggestions.
I have this nasty inner voice that always tells me, ahh you don't need a hobby, or you don't have time, etc. there is always an excuse. But...maybe I just haven't found my passion yet.
so give me (us) some ideas. !!!!
I want to learn how to knit again....oh and actually try scrapbooking something instead of just "collecting" the scrapbooking stuff. :-)
There's an assumption that a hobby has to be a passion. That's too much pressure for me. I think anything that you are curious about is a potential hobby. If it makes you smile when you've tried it, you're on to something.
Scrabble
Air hockey
Remote controlled cars, planes, trucks etc.
Puzzles
Stained glass window clings
air brushing (bought my daughter this stuff and she showed me how it works)
reading about the moon phases is my latest hobby

thinking of trying some power kiting this spring. have flown a few big ones before and the rush is awesome. once saw a big airflow style kite drag bubba j all the way across a football field. lol. was really something to see.
horse riding is a good one, gets your adrenalin going, its fun and active,
wood carving, you may hold a hidden talent and carve a beautiful sculpture,
making things out of paper mache, cheap to do and you can make almost
anything and paint it afterwards
making homemade recycled paper, add leaves and dye to it, create original personalised paper at very little cost

yes i think u need to keep active - idle minds are the devils workshop.
Whenn chosing a hobby it needs to be one which involves contact with other people as idle minds are the devils workshop.
Try joining a gym or swimming pool
