How Do I Add An Avatar From A File I Have?

I just went and looked at how to add one, and always 'thought' I was a bit of a techie/nerd (heck, I work for a software company - lol) but can't figure it out..........but how do I add one let's say if I have it saved to my hard drive, and not from or on the net??

Can anyone help this poor sap? lol

do you have photobucket.com if not go there sign up its free and then up load the avatar there and then let me know

your avitar is to funny.........I want to find one of a blonde on a pink beach cruiser..........oh hey, I actually have a picture of me on mine..can we put our own pics as avitars

Thanks you two. Got a bunch of goofy ones. I'm a goof. lol And yes, I think you can put any kind of picture (cartoon or of yourself) as an avatar.
