Its been busy here,but its been "fun" busy.
Saturday afternoon the lady i take care of had her 90th B'day party.Her daughter came from florida,and hr son came from buffalo(about 5 hours away)they had arranged a big bash at the luxery hotel in town,it was a luncheon type deal,sit down dinner.It was very nice.
Her family left me a gift at hre house(once they went home the next morning,one by plane the other by car)i opened it and was surprised to find an angel ornament for my tree ,some expensive chocolates,and a large amount of money in the card...thanking me for taking good care of their mom all year,so that was really awesome and totally unexpected.
We didnt go out New Years Eve,just stayed home and watched movies(ive always said we're the most boring couple on this earth)But we like it that way.
Yesterday i went to spend some of the christmsa gift money(which i was informed by the son and daughter of the lady i take care of...to spend the money on myself,they heard i spend my money on everyone else but myself )so that was the stipulation...ummm....needless to say i had no problem with that,lol.I did take my husbnd,grandmother,son and daughter in law out to lunch.Then i went and bought a years tan package,got my eyeborws waxed and my nails done.
The guy who does my nails knows im pretty basic,always the same way,same color,not much variation(dull in other words,lol)he said he wanted to do something for New Years day for me,something extra with no extra cost,i said alright,go ahead.though i was a bit worried,ive seen some of the nails with all the colors and sparkly stuff and designs,and thats too much for me.But he did a great job(i will post a pic) he painted them a nice shade of pink(my usual colors)and then added a pretty design on each ring finger,it is really cute and i liked it alot!
Basically thats been my exciteng New Years weekend.Its been all ive wanted and more.Hopefully the rest of the year will be as good.
How about all of you.What have you been doing? Have you done something nice for yourselves?!?!?! Everybody needs to do it from time to time,it is such a huge destresser for me.Of course i love to spend/buy/do for my family,i get alot of satisfaction from that.But doing things for myself is very rewarding as well.Hope you all make the time to do it.even if its something that doesnt cost money,alot of times i dont have money to go do things but i manage to find ways to enjoy myself (just going for a walk with my ipod cranked is relaxing).Hope youre all living life to the fullest,getting by,one day at a time!Miss you all,i need to spend more time here,thats something l indeed like to do for me,come here and stay connected more often,i just need a few extra hours in a day,lol,take care~KIM
PS~The nails look nice but the skin is as rough as a piece of sand paper!
