Just checkin' in to see how everyone is doing today? I went to a meeting today and shared. The topic was "Action", amazing how when I get into action with the Program, my life seems to flow so much better. Feeling pretty good today. Did anyone else attend a meeting, and if so, what did you get out of it?
In my town, we have great meetings, especially on the weekends!!
One of my favorites is the 9am Sunday (today). I'm always so grateful to be driving over the bridge on a beautiful Sun. morning , feeling healthy..not hungover..so often I got soooo sick, always felt so bad.
Now, I love that I get my butt out of bed, throw on jeans, t-shirt and sunglasses , grab a cup of joe and and go sit in a room full of funny,smart,witty alcoholics who are all happy to be sober on a Sunday morning too.
One of the old timers was talking about his trip this week in to the prison carrying the message. They only have a meeting twice a month!! It really puts my problems into perspective.
The only difference between the alcoholics behind bars,and me,is that they got caught. I was always sure that I would kill someone driving in a blackout. I would be that girl from a nice family who got drunk and killed someone and was doing time in prison.
Thank God I stopped in time.
Everything is going well for me. Lots swimming around in my head though. I'm going to meetings daily, calling my sponsor, journaling (very important during these abstract emotional times),PRAYING(the St. Francis prayer rocks!!) and service work(I'm telling my story again in a few weeks.),exercise helps too.
Just trying to work through a bit of funk, everything is going good, I guess God handed me the emotional crap,b/c everything else is smooth sailing- Thank god for the steps and the tools we are given.

Hi I am doing fine at the moment, coming up 14 mths in 3 days so are feeling good about that,Not much happening down this way, coming into winter, so weather getting a bit cooler!

I finally got the second card in the mail. Thank you! I had a Dr.'s appt today, so I got off a little earlier than usual. My youngest daughter, who lives with me went on a surf trip with her Dad today, so happy am I!!!!!!!!!!

Hi VWgirl! I'm doing just great! still going strong!! Business is doing really well, so is my second job on the weekends, nothing like seeing life thru sober eyes!!

Wow, the Promises are coming true for you....isn't it amazing? Glad things are going well for you. I'm doing okay...as long as I am turning my will over to God...otherwise, me running the show, not so good.
