It's been awhile, but I thought I would pop in and say HI.Life is good for me;nothing very exciting has been going on,but still good.I'm still grateful for all I have these days.
Still have 4+ years of sobriety and don't see that changing in the near future.I don't know if i'm different than most addicts here because my abuse came from lack of being able to cope with life rather than going for the high.Once I learned how to cope without the opiates I don't feel the need to use.
Still deal with chronic back pain, but am able to deal with it each day. Some days may be harder than others, but coping still the same.Happy to say that I haven't had a memory lapse since the last time I posted.I and the doctors still don't know what that was all about, just happy that it has stayed away!
I saw a special on HBO about addiction. Also saw an extended story about opiate addiction from the same program.I thought it was very intersting.I'm sure there were some varying opinions about it from this group..LOL.It made sense to me about why it's so hard to recover from opiate addiction.
Well....if you see this I hope you'll take the time and say hello.Still think of you and and this board often and hope it has been as much of a blessing to you as it has been for me.
Love,
Kevin
Hello Kevin,
I am so happy to hear you are doing so well. You popped in every now and then when I was quitting.

Hi Kevin,
Dealing with chronic pain is no picnic. You should be very proud that you have learned to do so without being addicted. ((((Hugs))))) (softly, so as not to create more pain!!)
