I am desperate for information about withdrawal from Fentonal patches and pops. I was taking these narcotics for approx. 90 days for back pain and I had no idea that when you stopped I would feel like a deathly flu. I went to a doctor who prescribed Suboxen at 2 mg per day for 30 days to get me off the Patches and pops. Having taken the Suboxen eliminated the withdrawal symtoms from the patches and pops, I was told that to get off the Suboxen I should take a rainy weekend to stop and I would be fine in 3 to 5 days. It has been 5 weeks since I have taken anything and I feel like s***. My bones hurt, tingly feeling throughout, constipated, etc. I have all of the symtoms of Fibromialga and am now concerned this is what I have and that I am not still withdrawing from the patches. Today I took a 2mg suboxen and all of my symptoms went away. PLease tell me what is wrong with me. Is it withdrawals or Fibromialga?

gosh, it sounds like withdrawls since it went away with a sub...but you should check with your Dr. and describe exactly whatyou justsaid...sounds like he knows what he or she is doing....let us know which it is

First off God bless you, I know just how you are felling. I have been on Oxyicontin 20mgs 3 times a day, and perks 7s 6 times a day for 2 and a half years. I have chronic back and neck pain and fibro. The oxy, was destroying my life. I am getting on Methadone to get me off the oxy. it sounds to me like you do have fibro, you will hurt and will be weak all over, and if you have certain trigger points on your body where it hurts worse then you probably really do have it. please go to your doctor, do not go off anything abrutly. god bless
I TOO TAKE THE PATCHES. 1 25 MG EVERY 2 DAYS.THEY ARE HARED THAN PILLS TO COME OFF THEM SELVES.USUALLY THE DOC WILL TELL YOU TO STOP THE PATCHES AND THE USE THE PILLS THEY GIVE YOUFOR BREAKTHRU PAIN WHICH ARE USUALLY LORTAB OR PERCOCET AND THEN TAPER OFF THOSE. SO IVE HEARD SO DONT QUOTE ME. IM GOING TOMORROW TO MY FAMILY DOC TO DISCUSS ALTERNATIVE FOR COMING OFF THIS PATCH. MAYBE METHODONE?I ALSO HEARD THAT SOME DOCS ARE USING FENTENYL AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR MRTHODONE? THE PATCHES REALLY DONT DO ANY THING FOR MY EXCEPT KEEP ME FROM GOING INTO CRAZY WITHDRAWALS FROM THE PAIN PILLS.
