don't have time to catch up on all the threads - so just thought I'd start another new one and say hi.

Jayde? how's things with you?
I'm flatout busy with work but have still been making time for my recovery - yeh!!! Went through most of Step 1 with my sponsor yesterday, still have some to go as we ran out of time. Also, went to a great meeting with her last thursday.
Been out of town over the weekend, visiting family and doing birthday celebrations with my Mum. Had a really nice weekend, it was good to catch up with everyone.
Now I've got to catch up with what's going on at work.

I'm doing really good. Thanks for asking. It's always so nice to be reading along catching up with how people are doing and then seeing my name mentioned. It really makes me smile!;) It's been a pretty busy weekend. You know BBQ's and get togethers with old friends trying to catch up on the who who and what what. You sound like things are going great again for ya. I'm glad to hear it. It's crazy how when things hit a snag with us we never think we are gonna get over or through it. I read back to some of my posts just over the last month and sometimes I was just so damn down. Oh well....that's the rollercoaster that we call addiction. (Rollercoasters....Hi to you Dragstergirl!)

Hi Idgie, Glad to see you posting. I just got off the phone with T, she is doing pretty good...but she got in a car accident the other day, but she didn't drink and that is a miracle! She is still healing all the way around ~ like I mentioned before she should be dead or paralyzed after what she did to herself...so, she's out of the mental hospital and in sober living. She is coming over to have dinner with us tonight. So, little by little, and with God as my guide, I will work with her and learn from her too. How are you today (tonight)?
HI Idgie, good to see you back girl. I'm OK, kind of lost it Saturday (see my other post) but am getting myself back on track... most of my unpacking is done, have lots of clothes to donate now. Seems like things are going well for you, it's great to hear it, & I'm glad you had a good weekend. I'll be sending you an email soon too, look for it OK? VWGirl - sorry to hear about T's car accident? was she hurt? Good that she managed to handle that happening without alcohol though.

I'm doing OK - kind of grumpy today, no particular reason, but I'm still sober and that's a good thing. Boy one day sure is a long time sometimes LOL.
Hey I'm reading the latest Harry Potter book (half-blood prince) has anyone else read it? Much better than the last 2 IMO. I thought she'd gone off the boil a bit there but this one is really good. I'll be sorry when the series ends.
Someone was mentioning being really bored, I've found something that works for me during those times when you have 15-30mins to kill round the house and start thinking about a drink. I bought a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, and whenever those spare minutes crop up I sit down and work on it for a bit. It really seems to help. I just went and bought the cheapest one I could find, who cares about the pic. Its just a way of distracting yourself for a few mins.

Hi Idgie, No, T wasn't hurt and she is doing pretty good, it's such a good reminder to me how tough early sobriety is...but it does get better! She, my sister and my youngest daughter had dinner here, I made tacos...it always seems like I'm making tacos! Now, I'm gonna get ready for bed, 9:00 pm here.
Oh, btw, I love jigsaw puzzles too...me and my BF just recently completed one of a trippy scene with fairies in bubbles....

Hey Idgie i thought that being grumpy was a womans ( and cats) perogatve and men just had to get used to it. Keep up the good work and posting as it helps me learn about life on lifes terms.
