Yes there is a vaccine now, i mentioned in my post above..
I didnt know however that there are different strains of HPV and not all are the wart type...sorry about that Stacey...( not that having warts is anything to be embarresed about if you did have that type.....its spread from one to another very easily...)
I just got a stupid planter wart on my foot from my god daughter...
Regardless, im sorry your having to deal with this again...not fair at all..
Ill have to read up on the HPV as im obviously not well read on the subject..im sure you have done alot of research on this, but i still think you should get more Drs opinions before you have to make such a life altering decision..

First off, I am so sorry you are dealing with this now or anytime. Please remember that good Dr.'s are hard to find, and if you do not like the answer from one go to another and another and another. Dont let any ONE Dr. be a deciding factor for you or your future. A Hysterectomy is a big big deal, and if that were mentioned I would consult with a thousand Dr.'s before having that done at your age.

you must be so worried honey, but trust that God is with you. i wanted to share something with you about hpv:
when i met my husband who had a very promiscuous past, i noticed warts in his genital area!!! we didnt think any thing much about them. didnt know... so i suggested he put compound W on them! they just kept coming back and we had 2 sons and sex not knowing the danger he was putting my life in! finally i demanded that he see a dermatologist and even then the doctor never warned us or told us what the condition is. he just burned them off with liquid nitrogen. more years passed and he would go and have more removed as they appeared because this virus lays dormant and then can reactivate again.
i heard about hpv one day and was concerned so i went to the gyne and he examined me and thank you Lord i have never had any warts on me,
to this day all my paps have been normal thank you God again and he will still have a wart pop up now and then and will go have it removed.
we havent had sex in years because our marriage started falling apart when i decided to start the road to recovery, i wasnt his party girl anymore. he also is impotent now, i believe its a punishment for all the porn this sick individual watches.even though we are not having sex, i have found viagra in his truck.
i posted a very intimate subject that i dont like to share with people but in this situation, anything to save a life is a good thing! so please everyone BE AWARE! i was so ignorant to such a potentially life threatening disease but only ignorant because it wasnt brought to the public's awareness like it is now. when i say life threatening stacey i dont mean your particular case. i only know about the wart hpv that they can cause cervical cancer in a women. my husband will deny that he is an alcoholic, porn addict (whats wrong with sex he'll say when i confront him) and denies that it is hpv.
i know that i am not supposed to focus on past resentments in my recovery , i am supposed to let it go...and i am trying to work on that issue presently, but i have to say that thinking about this subject does anger me for once again his lack of concern for me or my health. i have given my marriage woes to the Lord and trust that He will guide and direct my future. love julie/k-9

Sorry to hear you have so much going on. I had a Colposcopy & two leep procedures done when I was your age about 10 years ago. My girlfriend just had one done a month ago. I had severe dysplasia. Every pap since then has come back normal and I went on to have 2 more children since I had that done. SO don't jump the gun just yet and go get any female organs removed. That should be LAST RESORT!!
I would NOT let anyone talk you into a hysterectomy . I agree with Kee Kee on that one. Get 2nd and 3rd opinions. I am sure you will be able to carry a baby to term. If not then they can always tie your cervix's when you are 12 weeks along to prevent you from miscarrying.

But this HPV wholly geez--Stacy hope your O.K-- God man we all seem to have so many medical issues.
Man I always thought chlamydia was a woman's worse STD--this one is much worse.
Not to change the subject Rae but today was gorgeous--2 hrs at the pool my little girl did her thing --she is a fish. 7 yrs old works the pool --talks to everyone gets them to play ANYBODY age 3 to 70--its awesome and they all love her.
I get to crank my tunes and watch her do her thing.
Its relaxing.

I am sooo sorry you are going through this. I had cancer too, but it is now in remission. I have to say don't always trust doctor's opinions when it comes to whether you can have a child or not. The told me that I couldn't have children and bam a few years later I had Brandon. I think the chances of you having another child are good. Keep your chin up.

Jeff today was a beautiful day wasn't it? It was 83-85 here in the Bay Area. My son and daughter were really good swimmer's when they were 4-5 years old. I had my now 15 year daughter in swimming lessons at the YMCA when she was 1 year old. By the time she was 3, she was doing back dives. She was always pretty out-going too. Your little girl must be getting big. It has been a while since you have sent me a pic. Both your girls are georgous.
I didn't swim real good until I was about 8 years old. Then again I grew up in Ohio and the pools were only open 3 months out of the year.
I know someone who had HPV. They were treated with some creme & sent home. I don't think it is as bad as Herpes. Although I could be wrong. I have never had either one. Thank god.
