My last relapse in 2010 nearly took my life. In addition to the shame and remorse I felt , I also felt abandoned by some loved ones who were disgusted with me and wanted nothing to do with me . However my youngest daughter stood by me ,through all the terrible times, never turning her back on me . The following song is one she sent me . That song reassured me that I was loved in spite of what I had become. It gave me encouragement, strength and HOPE .I would listen to this song over and over in the two weeks while I was white knuckling it and waiting to be admitted to a treatment center. She would be the one holding my hand as I was led through the doors that took me to freedom.May this song encourage all who feel abandoned,beaten and hopeless.

Sobriety brings with it a new life. When I was active in my addiction it was as if I had a dead heart that kept on beating..Thank God I found sobriety before it stopped beating all together. Hello Peeps! Back home after a visit with my kids and grandkids. Wishing all the mommies out there a Happy Mother's Day. If by chance you are estranged from your children let there be HOPE because in 2009 so was I. Now I am a huge and much wanted part of their lives. When I changed so did my life.This is the first Mother's Day for me without my mom as she passed 6 months ago. I am so grateful for all the years I had her and I am so grateful that for the last 6 years of her life she got to see me live a sober life. I am very grateful I was there for her in the end.
