In some ways we're all helpless...if you go down the whole "what's the meaning of life" route...I mean...we're all gonna die right? But then again, we could hang around for a while before we do...and we could make that time that we are here different...that's where we have the control...that's where we can make a difference...the whole "nothing changes if nothing changes" thing...and something else I heard today "nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent"...I like that...we pretty much always have control over what we choose to do...or not to do...and you're not helpless Bryn...you're pretty darn helpful...

..Ya need to let of steam at times..we cant bottle up wot we feel cos that can lead to thrashing out or thinking of using..don't matter wot day of the week it is a bad days a bad day huh..some of us feel ok on a certain day while others feel like s*** or feel lik screaming at the world..it will be sumone elses turn tomoz and you'll be there telling them wot peeps are saying to you today, ya know wot i mean ?..take it easy on ya good self bryn < < dont ya just hate people saying that ? i know i do ;)..Robbie..

I totally disagree with the whole helplessness thing. You ain't helpless, you have the power! Every time that you want to score and you don't, that proves you ain't helpless. That's you exerting control over your life. I only got clean when I realised that it's always a choice, and I can choose something better, if I want to. So when things feel out of control, remind yourself to stay calm, and put the squeeze on that naughty addict, you tell her she ain't the boss of you, no way! No jumped up spoilt little biaatch is gonna tell you what to do, how to live your life. You slap that thought down. You ain't powerless - you've proved that you can control your own actions, and just coz someone tells you to jump off a cliff, you don't go do it!!!!
