I Need To Vent!

Today I dropped my car off at the shop. So I figured since I'm at home, may as well make use of the free time. So, I took out a bag of chicken to make for dinner; Gi seperates it and puts it into different freezer bags, each bag holds enough for the 4 of us for dinner. Anyway, while that was defrosting I figured I'd clean and vacume, make all the beds, even straightened up the kids rooms. I got all done that stuff, took out the trash, then got my vegetables ready and potatoes, set the table real nice and set up a pot of coffee for when Gi gets home from work. Then I went and figured by now I could prepare my chicken. But instead I realized I defrosted a friggin bag of donuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Friggin donuts!!!!!!!! Now I gotta defrost chicken with the quickness!!!! Only I could do that!!! On the bright side, at least we can now have desert with our coffee!

lol
Have a great day,
Take care,
Bob
LMAO....Oh Bob I understand more than I can say.....I had the same day...Son home sick so I didn't go to work and decided to get some stuff done...Nothing has gone right or smoothly....I have good sense of humor so I just laugh...and laugh...and laugh....
For example...my driver's side seatbelt is broken so I went to the dealership today..and it is broken...they have to order the part...and replace it....and guess what (it broke a week ago)...my warranty ended this past Friday!!! It will now cost almost $200....I was cracking up...Of course the warranty ended on Fri and I put it off (thinking I had to Aug for the end of my warranty)....I was laughing so hard they didn't know what to think...and are giving me $50 off....I think they were afraid I was having a nervous breakdown!
Oh and furnace needs repair and the warranty ended last month on that....found that out today too...and the dishwasher needs repair...and yes the warranty is over on that too....What a day!
I laughed a lot though.....Love Gina

Bob, I started posting here a couple of wks. ago. I've never been to a posting site or a chat rm. I didn't know what the word thread meant. I love reading yours & others people's posts who have some sobriety under their belts. Along with others who don't have much time yet. One of the first things I noticed about your posts is how positive your attitude is today. I love the way you can laugh at yourself when things don't go smooth. And that no matter what the problem or problems of the day are you don't drink over it. Thanks for reminding me to laugh at myself when my brain is running ahead of me. Last wk. with just a few days of sobriety I decided to change my daily routine a bit. A suggestion from the book Living Sober. I put my face wash in my hair just after I rinsed the conditioner out. Our youngest daughter came over & wanted some help with an essay. I must have really gotton side tracked & realized at 5:00 I hadn't fed our dog. I've never done that. I put some extra treats in the bowl & laughed at how nutty my day had been. I don't think our dog was laughing, but it's wonderful how our pets love us unconditionally. Life is short eat desert first; LOL. Thankyou for making me laugh & realize whats really important. I really took alot out of your post on resentments. Have a wonderful evening with your family.

Thankyou, Chris
Too funny Bob, you made me laugh out loud! Say hi to Gina!!!!
