I cant stay on long because Im getting Anne & her friend ready for the formal & Ill warn you all I have tears of joy running down my face.
Awhile back if some may remember I applied for a job at Pet Smart....Well after not hearing from them I figured I didnt get the job & it wasnt ment to be.
Well I just recieved a phone call & I STILL didnt get the Pet Smart job,BUT the new adoption agency is moving in by the end of March & BOTH managers wanted to ask me if it was ok if THEY BOTH highly recommended me for a position.
My first thought was AWW I get to be with my kittys again,my next question was simple....Was this for volenteering or paid position.Everyone I will have a PAID position doing something I love to do(working with my beloved cats)
I guess both manager told me that before they recommended me they wanted to make sure I was or wanted the position.Then they told me that the new place wants someone who they can trian,will love & care for thier cats & represent thier company in a positive light.So I said to the manager...Do you really believe I can do this.His reply was this(more tears)Sabrina,we whatched you & saw all the love & care to the cats ,how hard you worked & how dedicated to your position you were thats why YOU were the ONLY one we thought of for this job.
I know Im bragging but I just cannot believe I have a job doing something & being with animals so dear to my heart!
So by the end of March I will finally after being disabled & out of work for at least 6 years will start once again working.Not only that but loving what I will be doing.
I again sorry if Im bragging but this to me is so much more,so much better than working a register!!!/
Beings this board(most of you)know just how hard its been for me to be around people in general & beings this board has watched my journey I had to just HAD to share something so important to me.
It helps me believe that maybe,just maybe I can be part of a normal life.I want to also THANK YOU & you all know who you are for not giving up on me & believing in me

and i can't tell you how happy my heart feels right now with you sharing this, sabrina.

not to sound cliche-ish (is that a word?) - God never closes one door without opening another. a very wise member of this group once told me when i was facing some difficult challenges that the will of God will never take you to where the grace of God will not keep you. i refused to ignore that bit of advice and learned first handed of its truth.

the grace of God as i perceive it is quite simply love. through all you have experienced and are to experience, don't you ever forget that you are love, my friend.

how wonderful this is and for you i wish more love, wisdom, courage, and serenity, as you embark on your new endeavor.

That sounds like an exciting offer. I'm happy for you. I was thinking you would make an awesome Vet tech. There are many online, and home courses you can take to get you license, of course you would have to take a state board (I think, it varies from state to state) to get your license. I know around here alot of the smaller veterinarian hosiptals pay a decent wage for licensed or certified vet techs. Good luck!

This is fantastic news! Congratulations! This has been so good for you, and now it's about to be even better! I'm so happy for you.

This is a great example for others who may be in a similar situation to where you were. You took a chance and volunteered doing something you love to do. You stepped outside your comfort zone and found something highly rewarding for you. Then, to top it off you were able to parlay this opportunity into a paying position.

There are many organizations who need volunteers. That is a foot in the door. Volunteers who work hard and are passionate about what they do are very appreciated. Employers often dread the hiring process. From an employer's perspective, it is only logical that they will consider a valued volunteer for a paid position when one becomes available. It's a win-win situation.

I hope someone is inspired by reading your story. Has Elvis been around lately?

I have no doubts that you will succeed professionally and personally. Congrats!
