Going through my head today I was thinking of things I can do now I couldn't while using. Even if I did them there was no joy in it. The crazed brain all screaming "Now when can I cop next?"

This happened to me recently and if I was using I wouldn't have experienced this.

My friend has been going through fertility treatment for about a year now. Considering I'd been down that road so many years ago I was kind of her "go to" when she'd be especially hurt or angry. Hey, people just don't think and by the time you're asked to be a Godmother five times because people pity you ya need some understanding.

OR some good lines to bark back at fool a*s newsbags.

I digress.

So, my friend asked me to accompany her on her visit to see if all the shots were doing their thing and they could proceed with the procedure. Of course I'd go. In the room we went and we were cracking up about how you lose all inhibitions when you take your clothes off daily and hop on a table. At the Doctor's that is. LOL

The bigwig Doc came in and raved at the "beautiful follicles that are pretty well cooked". I'm looking at the screen with my hand on my friends shoulder going "Oh yeah they're ready. Look at that. Oh this is going to work". She's laughing at me. The Doctor starts smiling.

Two days later her and hubby went back. They did the procedure. We waited. When I got the call days later my screaming friend is going "You were right! I'm pregnant. It worked. It finally worked". Talk about a thrill. You can't feel that high. If I was still using I would have never made it to that initial appointment. I would have never got to go around telling people:

"Yep, she's pregnant. I'm the father"! LOL Being clean rawks.

Anyone else? Experiences I mean not having me there to prepare ya for giving birth.
