For some reason, I've been pondering this death thing lately. Maybe because I am getting older. Maybe because we lot one of our home group members in a motorcycle accident yesterday. Who knows? Anyway, why do we always think death is a bad thing? We don't know what's on the other side. Many people have faith that there is a heaven and a hell but there is no physical proof of either but maybe death is a step up from what we have here on earth. Since Jan. 2000 there have been 13 or 14 people that I partied with that have died. That's a lot of people in one circle. Most were drug or alcohol related. I was only close to a few. The way I consoled myself was to believe they were in a better place. So, when children die or when someone that is good and kind and something bad happens to them, maybe its because God wants them with Him. I don't know. I am rambling. I mean, sure, the people left on earth are sad but maybe the people that have died are happier so our mourning is a selfish thing. Aren't we supposed to want what is best for others? Oh boy, now I'm really rambling. Time to go grocery shopping. I hate it when someone dies and I get all thoughtful like this.
