I'm new to this forum and needed to get some advice. I have a friend overseas who is trying to come off of heroin and is suffering heavy withdrawal symptoms and he informed me today that he was injecting eye drops to alleviate the pain. The last time he used heroin was 2 days ago. I have never heard of this before, does anyone have any information on this?? How much worse is this combination and what are the long term side effects?
I tried talking him into going to his sponsor or back into recovery but he's not willing to do either of that at the moment. All I can do is sit and listen to him share his thoughts, emotions and try to stay positive. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
I heard just even putting eye drops in someone's water, just a couple of drops is enough to make them very ill. You should Google that. Cause that's crazy. Or maybe ask a methadone clinic. Maybe they may have that answer since they specialize in opiates. Sorry not able to help you. Good luck to u and your pal.
