Is Anybody Else Sick Of Christmas Music Already

im still tired of it from last year except for maybe John Lennons & SO it is Christmas, or that old silent night story/song by Simon & Garfunkle. I.'m just a morbid old scrooge i guess.
You must have read my mind. Im sick of it to, and i cant even leave the house.!! My mom thinks that it wil put me into better spirits if she goes around my house playing them.

Browndog.........LMAO.some of it gets really old, but some of it I love!

I have really been enjoying Faith Hills "Where Are You Christmas?" It has become my anthem this year. I don't normally listen to any country music, but it is from SCROOGE (the Movie) and I fell in love with it. The words really echo my life right now with the whole w/d thing and my despiration at doing it during the holidays.

I also John's Happy Christmas and recorded on the same CD this year with the above song. Also, Barenaked Ladies, Boney James and Chris Botti.

Have a good one! Think we'll get snow in GA tomorrow?

Dog- The BEST Christmas album ever, was put out by Jon Anderson of Yes. You know I love Yes, but this one is extra special. I mean it's really awesome. It's a tradition in our house. It' sells for like $300 on Ebay (the CD) because it's out of print. You can by the LP for like $10.
My absolute favorite that i guess i wont ever get sick of is the dogs barking jinkle bells.
Hi Browndog,

I like the Adams Sandler song and the John Lennon, but that's it. I can't deal with Christmas music either. Getting tired of Christmas movies too. lol, Now I'm really the scrooge.

Love,
Liz

NOT THAT IT MATTERS....but the song I mentioned above is from "GRINCH" not Scrooge. Too late to edit. Just didn't want you thinking I'm a dumba**!
Heck - I love all that Christmas stuff. The Grinch , Scrooge, A Wonderful Life...I can watch that stuff over and over again...I cried like a little baby at it's a Wonder Life.
i love its a wonderful like, though i would never own the tape or disk, or it would ruin it, kinda like the wizard of oz which was a big thing once a year wn i was a kid.
I love good Christmas movies, like Family Man, and that other one about those 3 brothers who go to rob a bank in that little town & i like national lampoons Christmas, and i still remember those O'Henry storys about the wife who cut her hair to buy the watchband for the husband who.... well i wont ruin it.
But the songs, forget it, I dont even like Jingle bell rock anymore.
Chritmas Vacation has to be one of the funniest movies. I watched about 3 weeks ago, and it lasts 100 minutes, I think I laughed 100 times and watched the movie a 100 times since it came out. You STILL see little things pop up you didn't see before. I rank it right up there with CaddyShack (sorry ladies, I know, a total guy thing)
What they really need (unless I missed it) is a good Simsons or SOuth Park Christmas story.
ya know , for some reason i didnt like caddyshack, though i had a buddy who thought it was the greatest movie ever.
I guess it isnt a Christmas movie, but along the same vane, I love Canadian Bacon, & one of the funniest scenes i can remember is in wag the dog when Dustin Hoffman proclaims "Thats no problem, you think thats a problem..."
Of course, i think one of the funniest ever was trains, plains & automobiles, & every now & then it joggs the memory of the 1st time i saw it at a drive inn with this girl the first night, of i guess about a one or two week stand , & some pleasurable things happened in the car that night, but i divert.
I like Rodney is Caddyshack..and Ted Knight..I think there isn't a second I'm not laughing. It's great for a comedy, but I like the action stuff myself. I collect autographed movie posters, so I have some pretty cool ones. Framed and stuff..
BTW- I only play the music for the kids. I mean, watching Frosty 19 times in a day is enough to drive anyone nuts..it's on right now..we have it on DVD
Hey brown Ill have to agree with you , I havent been in the sprit for the holidays as im not in the spirit for much. Im still feling like crap, Must take a very long time to get morphine out of your cells and liver and to get brain chemicals back in sink, I so thought the meth was going to make me feel better but im feeling worse than on the morphine. Still Im glad the worst of the withdrawls are over . Im kinda depressed anyway and the fact of the chrismas songs reminds me how screwed up I am makes it even worse. Im sure at some point hopefully in the vey near future I will feel full of life and energy again but for no its still better than the first couple weeks of the morph. Ray
We're getting ready to watch, cant believe i forget the name already, Chevy chase, christmas whatever u just said it was.
Frosty as well as barney needs to be shot already. I cant predict the future, but if my kids ever have kids & im still around, that stuff as well as veggie tails & land before time & lambchop & mr rogers or captain kangaroo, wont be happenin at my house.
Ya, I'm ready to go postal on all those guys..and the friggin "Wiggles" HAVE to go....
Hey Harry-

Yes, I too can really do without the music - but LOVE Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer (tv shows) oh, and lets not forget, poor little Charlie Brown - LOL- my sister said to me that compared to my tree, hers looks like Charlie Brown's LMAO - c'mon - try to get in the spirit - Hey - If I have to then YOU have to too - or else its NOT FAIR!!! :o)

So here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas (or Happy Hanukkah) Just think -after next week it will be history and things will get back to "normal" (whatever THAT is) LOL. You take care of yourself. Dont drink too much "spiked" eggnog!!!

Love,
Marie

Marie, I'm with watching it once or twice a year, but these rugrats demand it to be played..
Hi Danny,

And how are you doing today you clown, you!!!!! You have such a wonderful sense of humor - I really love it. You bring alot of peoples spirits up, whether you know it or not. Thank you so much for that. You have been such a great addition to this board and I'm so glad we have you. (Dont want to get "too mushy" - but you know what I mean). How has your wife been treating you? I really hope things get better for you, Danny - I think you deserve so much more. Alot of good wishes being sent your way!!!

Love,
Marie
We're goin to Gattlenberg Tenessee for Christmas. MY wife , 2 kids & fatherinlaw. my wife & fatherinlaw planned this months ago, & when she told me about it, i said sure sounds great (anythings ok with me as long as its a long time in the future.) well, here we go, f'n, skiing & other outdoor activiites, wa hoo. ive skied 1 x, and ended up on the bunny hill. my wife tells me im not gonna get awy with just laying around but i have to go o ut & have fun. i hate to say my hope is maybe break a leg or something right away & lay around on meds (only kidding). but i guess itll be fun, & f'n cold. we are bringing our dogs, so thatl be good.
Anybody know if there are any casinos near gatlenberg tenessee? ( i never heard of the place before.)
Ray, if ur feeling that bad & down im sorry, but im thinkin ur dose is maybe a little too low for ur level. Everything depends on ur current objectives. if u r gonna run with meth for a while u need to have them up it a bit. y feel like s..t during holidays unless u have to? but then if ur plan is to keep goin down as quick as u can, then thats another thing. it seems the older we get, the easier it is to feel bad & the harder it is for us to not feel miserable when we feel miserable. i wish u hte best
