Is there anyone out there? I am having a trigger....it is Friday night......
tomorrow is 14 days for me. I just had that little feeling ... taking a pill....too bad there is no way for me to get anything. Ha ha on me.
Kat- I'm here now and then..just stay strong!!!!
Hi Kat-
Tomorrow is 2 weeks for you?? Thats a great accomplishment. I'm so proud of you. I would think that things can only get better for you now. I havent been on the computer cause I was out all day and then my daughter has been on it since she got home from school.
Just think of how lucky you are to be at 2 weeks, Kat. I'm sure every day is a struggle, but you cant turn back now. Look how far you've come. Hang in there, girl-I'm sure things will get better with each passing day.

KAT, just remember how awful w/ds were! That's what I do when I have a trigger. No, just one won't put you in w/ds, but can you have just one? I thought that I could the first time I cleaned up, then the next day, just one more, then the next day "this is the last time". Before I knew it, I didn't have any one day and I was in such wd pain! You are stronger than your addiction, so tell it to kiss off! be strong, Sweetie! jess
Sugarbear...Yes....everytime I feel like "finding" pills...I will think of withdrawal....You see...it became an effort to find pills and financially impossible.....I am forced to withdraw....Maybe that is the best. It is Saturday night and I am at day 14.....I think I am feeling better...the fog is lifting.....of course, I would love to have a pill,,,,,,but I will always remember the pain of withdrawal....All of you out there...you have helped me so much...Dannyboyd...Sugarbear....Cowgirl....Yspearing....perco/oc....and if your name isn't here....you know who you are....Kiriwin.....tough love, nice,,,,,etc., you are all responsible for my sobriety!!!!!! KAT
Hi Kat -
I havent been posting lately, but have been following your story. Congratulations to you on 2 weeks!!! That is incredibly awesome!!!! Well, now you know that you have the worst part behind you and have a bright, happy future with your children to look forward to. Of course, it takes time to get back to "nornal" - but it will come eventually - believe me, I'm still waiting!!!
Love,
Marie

Heya Kat,
Don't give up or give in. I know its so, so, so, so hard. You don't need me to tell you this.
I don't know how you are financially or if you have medical insurance but there is a medication you can take for cravings. I have it and it works well for me and I have came across alot of success stories for people who are on it.
It's called Naltraxone.
It blockes the same opiate receptors that the regular pain pills use when you take the pills. If you have the time and money have a look into it.
Other then that, stay strong, keep your head up high and count the clean days you have, not the days that you wish you had pills...
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo proud of you. Another success story so far!

Kiwirain, can you expand on the Naltraxone, im interested in hearing more about it and how you came about using it. Are you located in another country other than the US? I havent really followed your story so I apoligize if this has been covered before.
Thanks

Hello JohnDee,
I live in Canada. So I guess Im the neighbors to the US :).
The easiest way to find out about Naltraxone is to probably do a search for it on google (www.google.com)
I could talk about it forever but maybe start with that, read up on it and if you have any questions after that please feel free to ask.
In a nut shell. It's stops all cravings for opiate based drugs. It all blocks the receptors that opiate drugs use so if you were to take sometime like OxyContin you would feel the effects from it at all. I mainly use it so I don't crave drugs at all. I could always quit but it was the mental aspect that kept killing me and driving me nuts. Now I can say I feel and life a fairly normal life now.

Kiwi I did google it and found a lot of information on it. The question I have for you is that what drug you used to quit or did you go ct? What drug did you use and how large was your habit? Also I read where one doctor does a 4-6 hour cleansing with the drug and then you go on a daily maintenance, is that what you did? I guess I just want to hear your personal story and how and what you quit and what role nax played in it.
Thanks
