Let me tell youze about this freak accident this morning. You can see its 3pm and Im home -not at work.
Well I got up at 6am-its Friday I had to go down and pick up my bottles.
I got up, took 1 step ,and tripped over my own feet. I went down- face first into the T.V table(in the living room)
Blood all over the place, I just missed losing an eye. My G/F put some gauze on my forehead and drove me to the Emergency room.
I now have 22 stiches over/through/and under my right eyebrow. What a mess!!
Hurts like Hell!! Doc tells me its going to leave a nice scar. WTF?
They injected some kind of "caine" into my head so I woundnt feel the pain of stiches being sowed into my head under my eyelids.
Man- - what a morning!!. I guess even if I didnt have to go to the clinic ,it wouldve happened- so I cant really blame this on mdone- although I feel like it!!
They gave me Motrin (because us addicts have a bad rep for holding on to pain pills)- also I dont think its good to use pain pills with a head injury.
Also They had me on antibotic IV when I first got to the hospital- now they prescribed 500 mgs of Keflex -4 times a day.
So other than that- Im OK - yeah I had a bad few days(week)- I used that one time- but I thought about it way to much. I fuc**ed up- and need to move on again in the proper direction.
oF COURSE I know what to do but I just have to do it!!
I thank you all for looking out for me-(although where were you to catch me before I fell thru the table-? )-haha-only hurts when I laugh.

OUCH! Wow, Jack, I'm so sorry to hear about the accident and the stitches. Whenever I've been involved in some sort of accident, it's so weird how it often feels like the incident is in slow motion and there's still nothing you can do about stopping it! You just keep thinking, "This can't be happening to me!" but when you feel the pain, you know it did! Hope you're feeling better very soon!

That was plain bizarre.......that's alot of stitches......whoa.....hope you are feeling a bit better...it has to hurt......O.K. I may get yelled at for this....if that was my eye, and head......yes I would take the pain pills......I do not tell in an ER I am an addict......I am so afraid if I am in really bad pain.....they'll not give me anything.....just me though.......I fear pain......please be better, Jack.
About that lapse.....wasn't a relapse....if it was you wouldn't have been home getting up to go to work or anywhere for that matter....it's O.K.

Hi jack, glad to know that you're OK. So you got beaten up by a table? You need to watch these tables, they're sly little S O B's, and they strike when you least expect it. Take that you $hit, that's for all the times you've spilt hot coffee on me! When it get's to that stage, the only thing you can do is deport them to the local dump! And there's a special song you need to sing as you do it, to give them the right send off. It sung to the tune of William Tell, and it goes "To the dump, to the dump, to the dump, dump, dump. To the dump, to the dump, to the dump, dump dump. to the dump to the dump, to the dump to the dump, dump dump, to the DUMP to the dump, dump dump..." and so on and so forth.

Yeah my face looks like I lost a 15 rounder with the champ. What the hell, I only had so much to work with anyway.
I think as we get older ,we get a lot more clumsy. I just lost my balance -and BAMMM-
I never took a fall or a beating like this while I was sober -thats for sure.
Unlike being high,it hurts a lot more and you feel the pain !!
