OMG you are Polish too, so are we! Ja sa mash, Poni? Not sure if that is the correct spelling, but we did not learn how to spell the words just say them!
Do you like pierogies, kluskis, and charnina?
Dzien Dobry!
Is your Mom's house riddled with chochkies from one end to the other?
yes, Mom's house has alot of aww whatever you said....actually over the years as they have moved from home to home things have been passed down to her four daughters....this afternoon my husband hung the antique sconces over the antique commode that she gave me...and amazingly Mom and Dad called about 20 minutes later to check on me...
Never had pierogis or any of the other things...Easter was always polish kielbasa, eggs and babka (think that's how you spell it)...unfortunately alot of the traditions have faded, because they don't live closeby, they are in Florida....
Lol...my mother used to have a sweatshirt that said "the Polish Princess"
and the only things i've ever learned to say in Polish are "come here dog" and pshia cref (definately screwed up the spelling on that one) "dogs blood"

Love those kielbasas and babka too. My Grandmother used to get so mad when someone would tell a Polish joke, those were fightin' words to her. Our Traditions are starting to fade away too ~ everyone's retiring and moving away, that or dying....my kids don't want any part of it...hmm maybe I should take them to a Polka at the Ballroom thats not too far from here. that's where we would go on Sundays after the family meal - LOL
oh my God...Polka...geez, that sound hasn't come to my brain in ages...funny how that dang accordian music just popped in and those big hoop skirts....gosh girl, you are bringing me down memory lane!
Janet:

Does it count that I married a southern boy that eats Squirrel and Dumplings?
who unfortunately will never have that delicacy once his mama passes on...
