only child 16 went mental last sat wrecked the house wanted to kill his dad, was crazy 4 5days,left home ,hiden in the garden waitin 2 kill his dad ,hes a bit calm now ,brought him 2 a centre he was all 4 it came out told me 2 stick it hes not giving any samples,hes convinced he can do it on his own{il only smoke it weekends mam}had 2 pay a deeler 2day still shaking,was i wrong,dont no what 2do.

I am really sorry to hear what you are going through with your son. Be strong. I think its a good idea you continue talking to your son about going to a rehab center. Perhaps, it would also be a good idea if you invite your son to come here to this site and read about what other people have gone through because of their addiction to marijuana. There are also some people who come here and and give very good advice to people who are addicted to marijuana or who want to smoking it.

Welcome. This sure doesn't sound like weed to me...sounds more like PCP ('angel dust'). While marijuana can cause psychosis, it is rare and after very long term use, and that's why he won't drop for a test. If you really want the testing, you can cut some of his hair , about a pinkie fingers width and 1 inch long, and get that analyzed...that'll tell you exactly what he's been doing for the last 30 to 60 days. But look to his actions, and know that those are not generally considered to be the actions of a pothead....that type of violence is rare and he needs help.

hearthbroken mom here ,thanks 4 ur advice things have progressed since i last posted,hes actually went 2 the rehab centre twice so far and gave a sample,he has another appointment on monday,hes talking a bit now said he did 6 buckett bombs on the friday and the saturday before he went mental{can anyone give me any info on this stuff} says he hasnt did it since ,at the min hes in earley 4 the last 4 nights in bed b4 9 and is very quiet i still think hes taking something ,but just taking one day at a time see how it goes,

"Bucket Bomb" is a method for smoking marijuana similar to, but far more potent than, smoking a bong (a long tube with water in it to smooth out the smoke and allow you draw more into your lungs and increase your high). Bucket bombs could defiinitely make him very paranoid and extremely high.

Sad, but there's not much you *can* do. Cut him off...no money, no car, no whatever he values that he gets from you. And don't let him turn it around and pin his misery on you...that's on him...but that won't stop him from trying to push your buttons...everything you're afraid of will come out of his mouth in blaming you...don't you believe it.
