Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't noticed any posters from the U.K. Could this be because they have a heroin maintenance program there?
Well Mike you stand corrected.....im from Ireland and have been a regular on here for 3yrs.(my username is new as i had to reregister)as are many from the U.K and especially Scotland....so on this part of the board i.e Heroin its about 50/50 European to Stateside.Yes us addicts active or in recovery do by and large get a better deal as regards treatment and health services ...from subutex and methadone to general harm reduction....but thats a debate for another day.Mike welcome and hang around you will meet alot of different folks but with very similiar experiences here,take care.................Davey
hi there well i am in fact scottish but live in east anglia but your right we do have a maintenance program but unless your willing to grasp it with both hands it does not solve the underlying problems yeah you might not rattle every day when on the meth but if your not ready yet your still going to be chasing that next hit whatever that may entail

When I said U.K. I meant Britain but I guess all you people all connected ie: Ireland, Scotland etc. I thought there were different government health programs in each country. One should never a** u me as you know what that does! Thanks for the clarification. I just mentioned the HMT as if Canada had it when I was introduced to H it probably would have saved me many years of prison time I received for my nefarious ways of trying to obtain it. Anyways, the bottom line here is addiction and how we recovering addicts can help one another with their understanding and support. Keep on in the fight ( staying clean ) and I wish everyone another 24. Mike.
Cheers Moc .....yeah alls sound with me and Sian(my daughter)she got her school yearly report yest.....and im a very proud Dad no word of a lie excellent in all subjects execept Irish langauge....which is a bugger to learn and unlike foreign langauges the kids have no real reason to learn it apart from cultural and historic reasons ....which is kinda hard to drill in to a 9yr.old when her mates are calling or Big brothers on lol.and me being brn n breed in London im clueless on the subject apart from swear words ....but anyway they reckon she has the maths and english equivilance of a 12yr.old which is brilliant ..coz shes not the most studious of young girls....so things are good with her and yes ive got a very nice girlfriend who loves Sian and Sians likes her back so its all good...with the two ladies in my life.
